Is ANYONE from WAKARUSA available to help with a HUGE prob??

I've been trying to get in touch with Ron or someone with the organization. Is there anyone else who can help with MEDIA relations? I just need to confirm some things before I am set to leave tomorrow and I can't get a hold of anyone. Hopefully SOMEONE can help!!!

Unfortunately, It's looking more and more like I might not be going.

I have to leave tomorrow at around 5 EST to start the 12+ hour drive and still don't have my tix or any info and can't get a hold of anyone to see what the deal is.

As you know, I'm going to see all you lovely peoples AND to snap some jazzy photos. My editor sent me a confirmation 3 weeks ago (the director of stages at Wakarusa confirmed that I would be all set), but I never got the tickets they were to send me. See, festivals like Bonnaroo overnight the press stuff within a few days of the fest to avoid scalping, etc, so it seemed normal that things weren't here yet last week.

But, I am leaving in like 28 hours and now I can't get a hold of anyone at Waka HQ to at least confirm that I can get that stuff there (assuming it won't be at home tonight). I'm just not going to drive over 24 hours there and back w/o some sort of confirmation that I will get to do my thang. I need to save my money, resources, and time for festivals I get to actually cover.

Hopefully this will get settled soon! I hope to be there and if I am I will DEF. be at the meet-up!!!!

You probably can't get a hold of anyone because Everybody is on-site. I'm about to go out there too, if I see Ronnie I'll try and remind him about your problem. If they said you were confirmed though I'm sure you are.

I dunno but there's a good chance Media passes would be available at a Will-Call or VIP-ticket tent, when you arrive. Again I don't work for the festy so I can't confirm that, but if they said you are getting Media access then I am guessing you can get it when you arrive.

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure the passes will be there, I just don't know if I should drive 24 hours (there and back) under that assumption.

I just wish I could get some reply of some sort from ANYONE at Wakarusa. I skipped Bonnaroo this year to cover this festival, put $ into supplies, took time off from my other outlets, and have basically committed to it in every way. I just want some sort of confirmation before heading out. If anyone from the organization sees this, PLEASE help a brother out! :)

Bobby, I would encourage you to just bring your arse. If you don't hear back, you WILL get it worked out when you get there. I was granted free admission and never received a ticket. It is my understanding that there will be a list. I assume we are in the same boat - except I'm only driving 4 1/2 hrs. I'm sure they've got you taken care of.

He made it, I talked to him at the coffee shop on Firday. He had to ditch the camping and get a hotel after the storm Thursday. I saw him here and there all weekend at the fest.
