Okay.
For those of you present last year:
Did anyone see a UFO last year over main stage while STS9 was jumpin around? Apparently there was one. If so keep those eyes open. Maybe we'll get lucky again this year.

There was a thread last year that explained this as a candle, balloon thingy.

I don't remember exactly what the dude that made it said it was, but something like that. I tried to find the thread, but "ufo" is too short of a search term.

I also remember people tying glowsticks to kites and flying them at night. That could have looked like a ufo.

Or a balloon, or a glowing flying fish. I know all the tricks man. But what I dont know is how several people can miraculously see the same thing all at once in one sitting. (Which was the case where I was sdandcing.) Find it by pointing it out. And then have curiosity left over to wonder where it went and track it over a Sound Tribe show. I dunno man.
The aliens might just land and party with us this year. And with that line-up who wouldn't expect a few extra terrestrials walkin about.
*Has fingers crossed REALLY tight*

I thought Mars Attacks too. We were just talking last night about our trip to Cinci for Phish and how we were watching this trying to fall asleep after one of the shows... the humor of the whole thing is lost in text, but trust me... It was funny.

That sounds like a balloon, or a glowing flying fish.

I saw 'em & it was definitely sky lanterns - brought a couple with me last year too and sent them off the last night - what a beautiful launching pad that mountain is 8-)

Didn't make it to Waka '09, but at Sound Tribe's 2010 set I saw what looked like a UFO flying way up in the sky, taking right-angle turns. At first i thought it was a satellite, but it kept changing its trajectory. I would say it could have been a sky lantern, but the angle at which it was turning seemed far too regular. *shrugs*
