Posts like this merely propagate the stereotype that festival-goers indulge in random board games with total strangers. They read 'chess' but they assume that there's also backgammon, mah jongg, even Risk going on in the background.

it's just a slippery slope, guys.

First it's chess. No problem. Backgammon? Mostly harmless. Mah Jongg and Go? Foreign, but not really a big deal.

But where does it end??!?! When your find your daughter's homemade Hungry Hungry Hippos under her bed, what do you say? You can scold your son for his black market version of Scrabble, but he'll only say "I learned it from watching you!"

Pretty soon you wake up to realize that you have a raging Twister addiction, but your friends have all given up on you, and you find yourself sitting alone playing both sides of a game of Slap Jack with a deck of cards that's missing all the clubs.....

We're just trying to keep people safe.....
