Someone else goes to winfield. I have been to a TON of bluegrass and jam band festivals over the last couple of years, but nothing beats winfield. It is my all time fav! I have been goin to winfield for much of my short life. I'm hoping that waka will have the down home and humble spirit of winfield. It is looking good with the campground stage five, and split lip playin all over the place. It actually looks as though it will be a bit smaller than winfield, but after the bonnaroo mass of humanity i just atteneded, i have no complaints. A big thing I'm hopin for is more jamming in the campgrounds like winfield. Anyone bringing down instruments? : )

this year Im going to try and make it for the whole thing, but I think my friend told me they extended it this year so it's from Wed-Sun...

last year I just made it up for 1 night, and only caught the yonder mountain show.. just went to see how it was and to see a friend.. wish I could have stayed the whole weekend.

there are some hardcore fans there though, its funny seeing older people (like, by older I mean 60's.. 70's..) going all out loving every minute of it.... and you wouldnt believe the set-up's some of these people do. their camp sites look like palaces! :lol:

If I may do a shameless selfpromotion here... I just finished a documentary on last year's Pecan Grove and its going to be shown at Free state Brewery on June 23, and the Jazzhaus on June 24.

Ah so your the guy doing the documentary. I'll be out in the pecan grove this year. Most all of my vacation this year is dedicated to Wakarusa and Winfield!
