How easy is it to find Clinton Lake State Park in Lawrence?

i'm just going to stop and ask once I get into Lawrence.. it ought to be pretty easy...

i tried that last time i went there (omega fest 00) and no one could tell us how to get there... dont rely on gas station clerks, cause they dont know (maybe they do, but just dont care) anymore than you do ;) If worse comes to worse, find a pizza delivery place, they usually have maps of the area inside, and can give you directions (better than some guy working at a gas station)

Go to the Wakarusa site and go to the FAQ. The exact address is right there. There is even a MapQuest buttons that will give you directions! SEE YA THERE!!!!!!! :-)

When you get to Lawrence, the main street is 23rd, also called K-10 or Clinton Parkway. You will want to get to that street and then go WEST until the street ends at the K-10 bypass or the lake, which you will see. You go under the highway and then turn right and the entrance to Clinton Lake State Park is right there.

Yeah, it will turn into 23rd once you're in Lawrence and just keep going. The main streets you will pass are Haskell, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Naismith Dr., Iowa, and Kasold, and...of all streets...WAKARUSA!!!!! Just go straight and after some HUGE hills, you will see the highway, go underneath it to the stop sign, turn right...and I am sure by then, you will have seen the lake...and ALL THE CARS!!!!!

They're huge hills for us. You'll know what I am talking about when you get there. Lawrence is pretty flat until you get past Wakarusa Street. The Clinton Lake area isn't as flat. Just remember to go RIGHT at the stop sign and not LEFT over the dam.
