man, weather.com is atelling me rain fairly steady from tonight-sunday in Lawrence. hopefully it doesnt come. or hopefully we just get like one day of light showers..... this is NOT my ideal camping/concert situation..... i just hope it isnt lightning and shows get canceled. or that we have to evacuate the park...

im praying it gets nicer. im not asking for 100 degree days (i dont want em). hell, id take cloudy and 70 over THUNDERSTORMS......

i know. eather around these parts can be kinda crazy. its rainign hard here in Sioux City right now. i dunno. **** we got over 30 hours until the shows start. anything could happen..... if ANYTHING, i want to AT LEAST be able to setup my tent while its still dry!

who knows tho, it could end up being 95 and sunny the whole time we are there too!!!! (it was last week)

This is what the weather channel is predicting as of today:

Thu Jun 17 Scattered T-Storms 77°/62° 40 %
Fri Jun 18 Isolated T-Storms 80°/66° 30 %
Sat Jun 19 Scattered T-Storms 86°/69° 40 %
Sun Jun 20 Isolated T-Storms 86°/68° 30 %

I like how the words \"scattered\" and \"isolated\" are in each one...

so, wut does Scatterd & Issolated *ACTUALLY* mean?

scattered= a rain here and there?
issolated= intese but in a small area?

these are my guesses... anyone?

i think isolated means 1 good storm... that's how I take it anyway... other than that you might be right...

damn, its going to be real humid with those temps and the rain!
im from iowa so im use to it.. doesnt mean i liek it tho. for those of you traveling from places w/o humidity... BRING WATER, XTRA CLOTHES, & DEODERANT.

the humidty is so sticky, and moist, and gross...

The way I see it I will be relaxing for 4 days. If it rains and there are shows canceled I will be chilling at the camp site under cover. They won't all be cancelled, so if I see only a hand full of bands and get a weekend of camping in it will be worth it. Rock on!

Nothin left to do but smile, smile, smile.

regardless, it ought to be a great time!

Your about right ryangetz. I live in KC (about 40 miles away). Last Friday, Saturday and Sunday I had a garage sale. Weather.com predicted rain each and every day (30-40%). Although it did rain some over the weekend, the majority of the time it was beautiful. Look on the bright side (ha ha), a cloudy day, while offering no UV protection, won't wear you out as quick as a full on sunny day, especially with humidty. Hope this helps. Think good thoughts and remember PMA (positive mental attitude). It's not where you're at, who you're with, or what you're doing, IT'S WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT! :!: :D

no doubt. ill make the most of it eather way. but it now looks like im going to be bringing a dining fly so i can hang out under that while in my campsite if its raining. look for a blue mini van with a funky orange/blue dome tent, a 2 'room' style tent, and a dining fly... that *should* be my crew.....

Well, just think of it this way ~ the probability that we'll get the rain is 30-40%. So its MORE likely that we won't.

very true. they should say its a 60-70% chance of amazing/sunny weather... that would be a much more positive way of looking at it.

it was 30-40% each of the days at Bonnaroo and it didnt rain thursday or friday but it poured saturday night and sunday. made for some muddy feet, arms, legs, take your pick. hopefully there are enough tents or places to shelter ourselves in case we are far away from where we camped.

Looks pretty good according to the local paper! Personally I think scattered showers are a good thing - keeps the temps down.
