The only festival yet to trump Waka's Lineup... at least as far as headliners/higher tier acts are concerned.

All Good is on my bucket list for the next few years...I have heard SO many awesome things about it and this initial lineup is pure epic goodness.
Damn, how are they affording those lineups?
How long has All Good been doing their thing? 6-10 years?
Even though I'm jealous- I still prefer the option that Waka gives us via multiple stages.... however, schedule conflicts are not a problem @ all good b/c its one band at a time - which i have mixed feelings about. Not missing a set/band is great, but if you aren't feeling it, there is no other option @ AG. The reason Waka trumps All Good for me.
Either way, those heading to All Good this year are in for a treat... though I had heard that Furthur's set last year was a bit of a snoozer....

This is the 15th year...
I too dislike the one band at a time thing...i need my options. Also, lack of all night music and car camping is a bummer. This lineup is killer though....dont see much on there that I wouldnt want to see!

They usually have great lineups, but, I agree with this. I know some people seem to enjoy that setup... but I don't think I would.... at least not for every show. I don't want every show I see all weekend to have EVERYONE there.... no room for more intimate shows or other options. That being said.... I would go in a heartbeat if I could!

Between this, Hangout, and a few bands Bonnaroo got..... I'm having serious festie envy this year. Really, more for Hangout than anything.
Yeah, I just went to their site... 15 year anniversary! Props to AG for keeping it going for so long! I can only hope that Waka is this long-lived. Imagine what our 10 yr. anniversary is going to be like?? It will also double as the 5 year anniversary on the mountain! :)
Priums, moe., EO, and Furthur are giving me a very small amount of festi envy... but I've already got my plate full with this years line up and couldn't be happier. It looks like a wonderful summer of music is in store for us all!
Now I need wait for Electric Forrest Fest to drop their initial lineup next Monday!

Ummm..no car camping, no all-nighters and ONE stage? Nevermind. I assumed they had such things. that's a nogo.
Without them, they are not "All Good". Waka has spoiled me.
However, that lineup is Quite Good.

am i completely off base, or is pretty lights billed really, really high?? i know he's pretty popular, but more so than moe., umph, jbt, yonder
ONE stage?
I'm sure All Good vets can explain better, but from what I understand they have 2 main stages, one stage is tearing down/setting up while a band plays the other, then they switch....rinse & repeat all weekend long....so only one stage LIVE at a time.

Gotta give the raver kids their big act ;)
I don't mean to like an ass- in fact i love spending time at the outpost tent @ waka for the jamtronica/live electronica stuff. The option to bounce between jam, funk, psychedelic, rock, and electronic (and all those lovely fusion bands!!!!) is what i love so much about waka.

This is true, there are two mainstages set up side by side and they rotate shows on them so there is little if any downtime in between music. There is also a small "campground stage" set up closer to the camps, but I'm not sure if they have music on it while the other two stages are being used.
Here's a pic of the two mainstages side by side....

And here's the smaller campground stage....

you can car camp, just not if you choose to have your tent site at top the hill in shaded tree's
all nighter's- basically till 4-5 am, then the drum circle's ensue........
2 stages-no down time, one band finishes other band starts, no walking between stages is +
Been to 2 allgoods 07 & 08 and mulberry mtn waka in 09.

AllGood is the 2nd best festival I have been to. Waka has more diversity, and options, but at AllGood you don't have to make those terrible decisions about which band to miss. if you don't want to see an act, you have some time to eat dinner at camp, grab some more beers, and explore the grounds! And its about the same size as Waka, maybe slightly bigger
the headliners play 10-1, late night 2-4
so its about as "all night" as you can hope for

I don't see what the big deal is with this lineup over Wakarusa? I mean, if you're a deadhead, then yeah, you're missing out on Furthur, but the only thing this lineup has over Waka's for me is John Butler.

AllGood you don't have to make those terrible decisions about which band to miss.
That would be nice! I wouldn't want to see every show in a mainstage setting though. I enjoy breaking those up with the less crowded tent shows. Guess I can't have everything
late night 2-4 so its about as "all night" as you can hope for
I hope for the music to play until sunrise! I prefer Waka's format to any of the festivals but like I said. I would go to AG too if I could!

Hmmm I really dont get it. I'm sure this line-up is great if you're a big jam band fan, but it pretty much stops there. Diversity is definitely something I look for in a music festival. I guess if you are only going to have one band playing at a time, it makes sense to target a specific demographic.
Hangout>ALLgood>Wanee>Summer camp>Waka> Bonnaroo
Hey I wanna play! Mine goes like this...

i understand not wanting to see everyband on the mainstage, and it would be nice if there was some shade, but some of the mainstage crowds are comparable to the smallest acts playing the mainstage at wakarusa during the day. you can still get a good spot... and everyone up close shifts to the side stage for bassnectar, and you can steal a good spot for Yonder!
am i completely off base, or is pretty lights billed really, really high?? i know he's pretty popular, but more so than moe., umph, jbt, yonder
I was wondering the same thing. My guess is that he might move down a few spots when the rest of the lineup is released.
Guess I'll give this a go:

Meh! Other than Further I don't really see anyone there that I won't get to see at the hangout and Waka. And there is a ton of shows that I would rather see that is not at Allgood.

I went to All Good in 08 & 09 and had some great times. They have really stepped up their lineup, imo. Last year was my first Waka and it is definately more my scene. Love the diversity, late nights, thoughtful scheduling, and VENUE! AG is really hilly, which has its ups and downs (haha, I slay me). The hills make for awesome views but it gets old waking up and down them all the time to get to the stages. Plus the campground is more of a Bonnaroo setup where the stages are centralized and camps spread out from there. You cant beat main stage camping at Waka where the stages surround the campground. Last year I could be at any of the stages within a 5 min walk. Also, no waterfall or anyway to escape the heat at AG, although I did find this bathtub thing with a spring running into it while exploring way back in the woods late one dawn....at least I think that actually happened.
