I was fortunate enough to not be in areas that suffered SEVERE damages in the state of Alabama. I witnessed two come by, but compared to other ones across the state I was lucky. I'm just wanting to make everyone aware of what has happened in this state and would like for everyone to send their condolences to the families who lost loved ones and their homes.

Wow, that person sounds terrified!! Amazing video though....I would be too scared to shoot it. Never seen a tornado personally, hurricanes are a b*tch though, at least we get a warning with those....
Much love to the people next door in Alabama...

At least 67 deaths according to CNN.

That is the most amazing tornado video I have ever seen.

After witnessing the worst flooding I've ever seen, and now this....it just seems so surreal. The only thing I can do is let my jaw hit the floor.

If you check the video posted above in Saucerful's post, this is the same tornado after it travelled about 50 miles north-east of Tuscaloosa, to Birmingham. Notice the top right picture. That is the one I witnessed go across the scene in my backyard. It had doubled its size and was at least a mile long. It was the most incredible, but also the most terrifying thing I had ever witnessed. Local areas that were heavily demolished were Cullman, Pleasant Grove, and the northern Birmingham area. The death toll has risen above 100 today, and the number is expected to rise. It is just chaos.

How these people can sit there & continue filming as the storms approach them is unreal to me. It's fascinating to see how the storm moves, but unbelievable that they are risking their lives to film it. Growing up in tornado alley has made me all too aware of the destruction tornadoes cause. My heart breaks for all the people who have lost loved ones in the recent outbreaks.
