hell yes! Even though I've seen MONTU dozens of times, their set at Waka was one of the best of the fest.

One of the first bands of the weekend... just headed down to set the vibe of the weekend, never had heard of MONTU before, and the place was absolutely going off!!! Made me an instant fan, and you could see the excitement in the bass players face - he was just loving the energy from the crowd. What a way to start things off - THANKS MONTU!!!

My girlfriend had several friends in the band and we checked em out to kick off the weekend! Great show! Tons of energy and lots of fun. Then we grilled weenies and puffed down with them in their campsite. For the record, VIP camping is nicer than artist camping, which is kind of a surprise to me, but i guess that's how they roll.

Oh yeah, there were free CDs at the show too, I'm pretty sure. MONTU!

I recorded their set.

I emailed the band and asked if they want to be on Live Music Archive.
If anybody is friends with them, encourage them to do this, it sure makes sharing the music easier for tapers and fans.

How can I help get bands into the Live Music Archive?

If you know of a trade-friendly live-performing band that is a good candidate for the Archive, you can initiate contact... When you write, make it clear you are asking about the Live Music Archive at archive.org.

It might be easier to contact them on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/MONTU/189299706895

It gets updated daily by keyboardist/manager/booking agent/Mr. Everything, John Barkley. I think he spends more time logged in on the MONTU account than on his own!
