Gonna be a tough one.. but I'll try

1. Ben Harper - The Relentless7 stuff was awesome but his solo acoustics were priceless for me
2. Galactic- either set, although I liked the Revival one better cause I just watched and danced at my campsite for the mainstage show
3. Thievery Corp
4. Ghostland (best light show I've ever seen)
5. Quixotic
6. Honey Island Swamp Band (Backwoods is so intimate I loved it!!)
7. STS9 (Revival)
7. JJ Grey & Mofro
8. Emancipator- Satellite stage for sunrise with that music was absolutely magical!
9. Grace Potter- I sang that baptism song every time I took a dip into the Mulberry! "Nothing but the water!"
10. I loved everything else so much I'll put it all at my top 10.

You know really it's so hard to make this list because of the perspective you have while watching. Your attitude and mind frame have as much to do with it as setting. I'm a huge MoFro fan so you would assume he would be my #1, but I've seen him in way more intimate settings while in better moods, so he wasn't my #1. On the other hand, I'm a huge Galactic fan and have seen them numerous times in more intimate settings. This was my first show to see them covering their new album with Corey Glover, and I was at the very front in a great state of mind, so that show was just perfect for me. The Emancipator sunrise set, even though I didnt dance much, was one of the highlights of Waka this year because of the setting (Satellite at sunrise was the place to be!). I could go to the same Wakarusa 10 different times and have 10 different top acts. That's just how good the quality of music was.

2. STS9(Friday night-loved the outdoor vibe vs. the tent on Saturday)
3. JJ Grey & Mofro(one of my all time favorite bands)
4. Franti(first time to see him-what a great party he was)
5. Sharon Jones & Dap Kings (she never stopped moving!)
6. Mumford & Sons(just wanted to see live-didn't seem to fit though but enjoyed)
7. Umphrey's (sat on the hill outside of main camping and laid back to enjoy)

9. March Forth Marching Band (what a great surprise and boosted the energy)
10. Ben Harper (because he has to be listed somewhere out of respect. Was disappointed though for my first time seeing him)

Thievery and Shpongletron were by far my two favorite shows of the weekend. The rest were awesome and there are some great shows that didn't make the top 10.

Tough one, but here we go

1. My Morning Jacket - were my #1 going into the fest and lived up to the hype for me. Cant wait to see them blow The Pageant apart in 2 months!
2. Umphreys - As soon as the first note of Shine On hit, this was up there. As soon as they finished up the Nothing Too Fancy wrap, it was cemented in its place at #2, then they even still had All in Time > Baba O'Riley > All in Time left in them?!
3. Dirtfoot late night panty party - its dirtfoot late night on the stage that I am convinced was made for them. and it was apparently a Panty Party, what more can you ask for?
4. Grace Potter - Big fan of GP&N and was looking forward to this one quite a big as well, lived up to the hype as Grace played some fantastic older songs and damn fine versions of new ones. Stop the Bus was great, as was Nothing But The Water.
5. STS9 main stage - Shakedown street was epic, the rest of the set rocked hard as well. one of my favorite STS9 shows
6. Split Lip Rayfield late night - always a festifav of mine, SLR tears **** up. Small crowd, great energy and amazing performance.
7. Budos Band - best funk i saw all weekend
8. Dark Star - love what they did, never seen them before, always wanted to, wont miss them again
9. Delhi 2 Dublin - wow...surprise set of the weekend for me. knew nothing abotu these guys prefest, loved every minute i heard
10. Mumford and Sons - wanted to see them bad, great show but didnt fit in well. bring them back for a Harvest maybe. Would have much preferred to see the Avetts doing their thing .

These were the shows that made it for me ! Glad to say that my list had to include more than 10 because so many shows spoke to me... New and Old music , new and old friends, Waka once again did not let me down:cool:

-STS9 (loved the new songs at main stage, but I loved the revival show as well)

-Ozomatli (loved how they came and played out in the crowd after both their shows)

I would sh*t my pants if Wakarusa got the Avett Brothers, my favorite group. If the people that look for the bands is reading this....Avett Bros 2012 PLEASE!
