Okay, maybe not such a good topic name. Got your attention though.

I just wanted to say that I've seen a lot of forums and I've always seen people leaving mean, sarcastic comments on them..

Wakarusa forums are the only exception I've seen. There's only people asking questions and even more people happy to help. It really reaffirms my love for this music and these people. There's so much love and compassion between everyone. Sort of like a Marilyn Manson show except the opposite...

I can't wait to spend the weekend with everyone!

Have you been to many Marilyn Manson shows? I haven't, but I saw NIN (not a fan, but it was a good show), and have seen Tool (my favorite band) 4 times. A lot of fans of those bands have just as much love and compassion as anybody else. Every concert has its assholes, even the friendliest of jambands. I would think people with love and compassion would avoid stereotyping people. I'm not trying to bust your balls or anything, I'm glad you're commending the friendliness of the forum, but I don't think it needs to be at the expense of others.

True. Very True. I know many a compassionate Tool/metallica/metal band fan. I just had this image in my head of everyone at wakarusa chilling and dancing and such, and folks at metal / punk concerts beating the hell out of each other and moshing and such. You're very correct though.
I should think more before I talk. My apologies to everyone!

PolyOntology - Rock on! Tool is my favorite also! Awesome in concert! (NIN and Manson put on pretty good shows too)... and yeah there is rarely a show without moshing at these shows but those people choose to be there... it's fun sometimes....
