1. Robert Randolph on Fri.
2. Los Lonely Boys on Sun.
3. Particle on Sat.
4. Guided By Voices on Sat.
5. Kaki King on Sat.
With honorable mentions: Bockman's Euphio, Galactic, Split Lip
Particle on Sat, Robert Randolph, Galactic both sets, STS9 on Sat, and Jazz mandolin Proj. were standouts but every single performance I saw was kick ass.
What was with STS9 on Thurs? Me and my freinds sat around through about an hour and a half of stage set up and sound checks- we started refering to them as Sound Check Sector 9. We got so bored we ended up heading back to camp just in time for the hurricane to blow our tents down. I wish we would have stayed cause I heard that STS9 jammed during the storm.
Kick ass fest all the way around. I will definately be back next year.

I hated Particle, I guess you had to be all tweaked out. I like to see music that can always be enjoyed. All of the super wacked out people who never sleep kept telling us that they were the show of the weekend. They've got a decent sound until the \"Look! I'm so tripped out and crazy\" keyboardist overdoes the synth crap.
1.Galactic
2.RRFB
3.Indiginous (Red House killed)
4.Split Lip
5.Salmon avec Beatle Bob and Baby head

People have different taste in music? I also loved Salmon and Galactic sets (sadly missed Indiginous) I skipped out on RR, and caught Salmon with Keller and Theresa Andersson!! << Set you should not have missed!
I did enjoy Particle. They kicked ass on the main stage. I like hard-driving music, four-on-the-floor beats, and broken rock'n'roll.
By the way I picked up Particle's set from the Real Live Recording tent. The stereo effects came through, so you can hear Steve bending it from left to right channel.

Whoa... tough question... in no particular order...
STS9
Greyhounds
Galactic
Tea Leaf Green
Papa Mali
Ask me again in five minutes and it could change though! I was really impressed w/ STS9 the most. It was the first time I've caught them and I was really digging it.

The only tweaking I saw was Steve tweaking all of those crazy knobs on his keyboard. Seriously though, where I come from tweakers is a term that refers to coke/crankheads...I'm not sure what kind of music tweakers are usually into or if there is such a thing as tweaker music, but Particle was definitely psychedelic stuff..and if you weren't expecting there to be psychedelic music at this festival then you've gotta be crazy. If you want to avoid music you don't like, maybe do a little bit of research on the bands before going to the festival. Thats what I did, and I didn't end up hearing any music that I thought \"sucked\".

Thanks, polyo, and YYR, I did some research on the bands too and if I heard some music that didn't float my boat, I moved on. Options=good.
first off anyone who says that either one of particles sets were bad is an idiot and probably was just there to see oar
1.sts9-fri
2.sts9-thur
3.galactic-sat
4.Derek Trucks Band
5.Particle-sat
I notice nobody ever mentions O.A.R as a band they wanted to see or as a good set or anything at all. WTF were they doing in one of the prime slots on Saturday night? I listened for a while in between other bands, but couldn't figure out why anyone could think they were good. Can anyone explain this band to me?

I was wondering the same thing...and I was also wondering the same thing about Pomeroy. They play here opening for bands all the time and its kind of annoying.

OAR was horrible, big frat party, I left and caught Indiginous...I think. Yes everyone does have their own tastes, and I didn't like Particle, but many did. Options are good.

Leftover Salmons perfomance of Get behind the mule was hands down without a doubt the best of the entire festival. They had a few guys sit in and Vince was just out of controll spinning the buddy lee mask around. It was such high energy man! WOW!!!!!
