It was a wonderful weekend!!! What a great frickin time! That was the perfect festival if you ask me, besides the occasional thunderstorm! I was surprised at the number of people there, I was expecting many more, didn't seem crowded at all. I don't think I even waited in line for the bathroom or for a beer! The music was great, Friday night was incredible! Randolph was on fire, and Galactic's \"Whole Lotta Love\" was smokin. I was impressed by Sound Tribe and Particle as well, Jazz Mandolin was great! I stayed with friends in Lawrence on Wednesday and was at the site by 10 on Thursday morning. There was no line to get in and we drove around looking for the perfect spot for probably an hour. We got a great site and even saved spots for friends coming from KC. Friends arrive at about 4:30 on Thursday and not only were we able to save their spot, they could of camped on either side, nobody was around us! I can't believe folks are bitchin about the camping. We had shade on our tent every morning until about 2 in the afternoon. I don't think folks realized that if they had continued around the curve in the road there was plenty of great camping available. I saw people camping all bunched together in the mud when there was a lush, green field 50 yards away! Not only that, the tree line to the south winded along the north shore of the lake and provide alot of shade! These spots were empty until late afternoon on Friday. My only explanation for this is that people didn't realize that these sites were available. Not only was great camping available late, there was bath house back there too! You know, they even had toilets that flushed! I'm convinced that most people were unaware that this campground existed. I took a hot shower for free in the bath house every morning and the most guys I saw in there at one time were 3. As far as security goes, that was great as well. No problems whatsoever, I walked into the shows with a digital cam, phone, bag, glass, box of smokes, and money all in my shorts pockets and had no probs at all. Went through at least a dozen times and only patted twice. First time, showed him it was a camera, second time he felt my pipe and told me to \"have a good time\". We had a few chigger bites but nothing unexpected, it was a really great time!

I want to thank everyone who had a hand in this, excellent festival, already planning for next year!

i agree a lot of ppl didn't even realize there was more camping room around the corner, there was so much space, TONS, you could have had shade trees if you wanted it.
