After roasting in the hot ass KS sun this weekend i think an RV would be a great idea. I was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions for renting one localy and what it would cost.
TIA

I saw a 1-800 number posted on the side of a few of those. 1-800-rent a rv or something like that. Dont quote me. Mikey, Nathan and I definately decided thats what we are doing next year. We are getting too old for that s*&t, hot sun, no toilets, you know the complaints. Besides, we have finally gotten to a point in our life that we can afford to rent something like that. We thought we might go in with a few friends to lower the costs. Let me know if you and Cindy may be interested, it would work out great since you are from OKC too!

Sweet Sara,
I think that would work out pretty good. We do have another couple from CO that would like to join us as well. Or if you would be down we could see if we can get two and circle the wagons so to speak, your an Okie of course you know what mean. I'll call you this week and we can get together, you guys live in the Village right?

Yeah we are in the village. We could definately get a convoy of RVs going. We were thinking about just picking one up in Lawrence to save on costs, and driving the car in. Justin said they run about 150-200 bucks a day, with 100 free miles included. I dont know if this is true, but if you have 4-6 ppl in there, it could be affordable. We need to ask him about this.

Thanks Sara,
Sorry I didnt call lastnight. Been plating catch-up the last few days. We do have a few months to figure it all out. I would like to find out by the fall so I can try and have it paid off some time early next year.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Sorry Sara we wont be doing much before the fall(other then spur of the moment things). I am sure we will be going somewhere in the fall to see Panic, you and Nathan are more then welcome to join us. Since they are playing the Austin City Limits fest, I doubt they will play the Backyard this year. We may have to catch some shows on the east coast or down south, maybe in New Orleans. We could bum rush Althea and crew, nothin like partying in the Big Easy. It will really depend on where the boys play as to where we will be going in the fall. I wouldnt mind going back east, Mom is in FL and dad, brother and sister are in DC, and theres always a party going on there too. We'll just have to wait and see.

My buddy who you met (when we were on bikes) they used the 1800 RV4Rent and I think they paid 150 or 175 per day it was AC'd and then paid the 200 for the camp site and they got 100 free miles to drive. They checked it out of St Louis, so I don't know if there is a hub near here or not man. Check your pm I got other info coming your way ;)

When I looked into it last year, the cost was about $1100 for a week and then you need the $250 camp site with power and water.
I didn't check it out this year, but might look again next year. That AC K Ride/double d had was so nice to just sit down and chill in.
E-mail K Ride for info on what they rented. He does this more then once a year, when it's too far to drive his own.
