I recognize that all of the other campsite names had to do with the Simpsons, but what about Solstice and Nelly Tucklehead? Nelly Tucklehead sounds vaguely familiar but I can't put my finger on it.

Nelly Tucklehead is the child of one of the organizers or something. A very annoying (and likely drunk) MC kept repeating this over and over and over and over before the Dirty Dozen Brass Band show.

That announcer was just being a jackass. He said they gave her the nickname Nelly Tucklehead because of the campsite name.

Well, i believe the summer solstice was monday but i even googled nelly t and couldn't find anything.

Nelly Tucklehead is a nick name for one of the organizers children. It is often revised to Telly Nucklehead as well. The Simpsons themes will carry on next year as the site will try to \"stay familiar\" to this years patrons.

Yes, the first day of summer was the 20th. Nice to see that camp names, while being memorable, actually had some thought put into them. All of the road names have significance (the named ones) too. This was a detail driven event. All about the experience, so we're glad to see that there is some chatter regarding some of those \"little things\"

it was fun telling everyone \"no, a left on wakarusa.. then down to 6th, and its right between 6th and 7th\"

Camp Solstice was my idea, (along with the Simpsons theme) I received a call at 1am asking me to \"name another campsite right now.\" I looked at my 13 month calendar and the solstice caught my eye. Nelly Tucklehead is one of the director's daughters who is just a babe (and one of the cutest I've ever seen might I add)

Got this pm : Hi, Nelly is my niece's nickname. She is a baby, and has no idea that she has created such interest!! My brother is one of the organizers, and it was just too much of a temptation, to not name a campsite after \"Nelly Tucklehead\"
