FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CLOUDSCAPES PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF BEANLAND: RISING FROM THE RIVERBED

Beanland: Rising from the Riverbed is a lively chronicle of the origins of the widespread southern jam band scene as seen through the smoky eyes of one of it's seminal groups, Beanland

Brought to the screen by the Cloudscapes Productions team of Scotty Glahn (Director, Producer) and Kutcher Miller (Producer), Beanland: Rising from the Riverbed, focuses not only on the history of a group of musicians that reach far into today?s popular jamband scene but on the scene that created the band.

The band's \"rise\" is richly illustrated by interviews with each of the band members and guests such as: Jim Dickinson, Luther and Cody Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars), Paul \"Crumpy\" Edwards (White Buffalo, Bloodkin, Barbara Cue), Rev. Jeff Mosier (Aquarium Rescue Unit, Blueground Undergrass) and Romin Dawson (The Grapes).

Archival video footage spanning nearly 20 years from Beanland?s time as back porch Mississippi hippie-cover band to their hard earned arrival as a genuine musical force across the south. Rising from the Riverbed also contains blistering concert footage shot on the Square in Oxford, Mississippi during the 2004 Beanland Reunion. The band is in full party mode with featured Beanland hits ?Take Me To the Show?, ?Doreatha?, ?Mr. Cropper and ?Swing Tune #9?.

Beanland: Rising From The Riverbed is a celebration of a time and place, in this case, the last two decades in a small town in Mississippi. A rural area around Oxford MS, usually known for its writers such as Faulkner or Grisham, hosts a wealth of artists and therefore lends itself well to the furthering of rock n? roll and blues. An unlikely setting perhaps for homegrown rock n? roll-until you see Rising From the Riverbed.

As keyboardist John ?JoJo? Hermann says, \"Mississippi has a groove, and the groove is the way of life.\"

The filmmakers have put together a special bonus CD for the DVD package. The artists and tracks were selected either for their impact on the region or their mention in the movie. The 12-track disc includes favorites by: Beanland, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Allgood, The Grapes, Kudzu Kings and many more.

The ever-popular DVD bonus material includes outtakes and extended interviews/ performances with Jim Dickinson, JoJo Hermann, George McConnell and Bill McCrory.

Though Beanland grew organically from the kudzu choked hills of North Mississippi, Rising From the Riverbed demonstrates that theirs is a groove and a way of life that continues.
