That banjo player was Matt Flinner. Matt's been around for awhile. He has a few releases out on the Compass Records label. He's also married to Judith Edelman of the Judith Edelman Band. He usually plays mandolin but also plays banjo. Hope that helps.

Yep, that was Matt \"Flynyrd Skynard\" Flinner. He and Tony Furtado played with Salmon after Mark passed. Noam is playing with John Cowan's Band. LOS hasn't really broken up, just one of those indefinate hiatus deals. Drew is getting Freedom Ride back together and Vince is thinking about running for the Colorado House of Representatives. I did not make that last part up. Pick up the new Relix. Nice article on them.

Flinner was sporting an unusually burley beard for Wakarusa. I'm so glad he was there, I thought he did a great job keeping up the Salmon sound.

GREAT article about LOS in the new Relix. Tim is writing news about the LOS sabbatical, for the next issue of An Honest Tune, also. (Which will have some Wakarusa pictures too... your pic just might be in there).

So Drew's band will be the same/name as the Freedom Ride band he has toured with before? Can't wait to see that, and hope they will be on for Wakarusa 2005.
