hey everyone, my friends and i are making the trek to Wakarusa for the first time this year, so if anyone could answer some questions i have about camping that would be really helpful! first off i was wandering if i could bring my trailer to upgraded camping. its not a travel trailer or anything, just an 11 foot box trailer. if not, thats cool we have plenty of tents! also, how much better is upgraded camping from regular camping? VIP is comepletely out of my budget. thanks all~

Yes, you can bring your travel trailer. Lots of folks around us had trailers. Last year I think it was an extra $100 for upgraded. We loved it-shade and some sites had fire rings and grills. No chiggers if you were careful. and close to real bathrooms. This year my friends want to do VIP so I'm doing it with them. Won't be to my advantage because i don't drink beer but i'll be up front if i wanna be. :)

Yeah, I am, Mitch, that's what Rob and Heather, the newlyweds, want to do so I'm going with the flow. I have a feeling we might miss that shade this year. But we sure won't miss waiting on the nowakas. :)

With y'all camped over in VIP, our group will have a better chance with this year's JustBob Scavenger Hunt!
I'm sure we'll see all y'all twirlin' up close to the stages!

With one exception, we walked to the festival area and many times from the stages. There were a couple of times though, when the nowaka shuttle saved my dance worn feet!

Here is some info you guys have been looking for.

Wakarusa staff is working on a system for upgraded camping that allows you to pick your own site when you purchase an upgraded spot. The sites will also be much more secure as each person will be escorted to that spot that they reserved. We anticipate sales starting March 1, but this may change.
