If you are a guest to this forum, why not join? It is so much better to be able to comment when you feel the urge. Rather than to just read what others have to say. Add your two cents, it will enrich us all.It is free easy and fun so what the heck. To actually take part is the idea. Share your observations, ideas, comments, feelings or just some mindless dribble. Your likes, dislikes, rants, raves, phobias, ideosyncrassies. All you need do is log-in. 8)

not if you are lurking just to check things out for a minute ... if you are a creeper that is a different story

Hey lurking and creeping is fine by me. To each his own. On the other side. Hey simpleman, where in IL are you at. I am currently in Normal. Might be hittin up Keller at the canopy this Sunday. Maybe meet a new Waka friend before the fest? cheers

Hey I am from Alton right across the bridge from St.Louis. Probably going to Bela Fleck on Sat. I am not sure where Normal is Hilto, but Kellar should kick ass on Sun. Have fun!!

Okay you've convinced me, I've looked around a few times and now I'm registered. I think many are reluctant because becoming registered on sites often means jumpin' through all kinds of hoops. I just did it and it ain't that bad at all here. \"Posters\" is the term I think someone was searching for in lieu of \"forumers\", as long as it isn't confused with a pic of Bob Marley you hang on the wall.

Welcome to all the new folks! Glad to have ya'll along for the ride!
You'll find that there are a lot of great people here and when you meet up with them at the festy, it's kinda cool because you feel like you already know them.
You'll get a ton of info about all parts of the festival too. Make sure you check out the info about chiggers. Not to scare you, but if you get into a bunch of them, your weekend won't be near as fun.

No longer left to just read what others have written. But to add your own thoughts. (The only real hassle is that mail in blood and stool sample.) JUST KIDDING

I'm just kickin' this thread back up to the top. Just noticed at this moment Guests outnumber registered users more than 2 to 1. This thread convinced me, and I've already had my share of fun and laughs. Now it's time for you to do the same, whoever you are out there. :)

I've always started from TN or NC to head west, so I can't say for sure, but prob St Lou is the way to go. I say avoid Arkansas & OK if possible.(no offense to the proud residents of these states; I'm not a big fan of your law enforcement however)
