1) There seems to be very little VIP information on the web site. Is this intentional? Is this because the exact details of what the VIP package will entail has yet to be worked out? What is the justification for the $45 increase in VIP ticket price over last year's price?

2) The VIP information that is listed states \"snacks\" and \"snack service\". Last year there were meals served at set times. Is this year going to be \"meals\" or \"snacks\"? Last year there was shark steak... this year's references to \"snack service\" invokes images of Chex-mix and granola bars. Is this year's description just poorly worded and I'm reading too much into it? Is is maybe that you still don't know what the exact level of food service will be this year? Last year's meals and food selection was impressive. I left last year thinking this year I would definitely go VIP because all my food needs would be taken care of and I could forgo the trouble of bringing coolers, grills and a weekend's worth of food. I'm concerned this year I will be fed junk food and that I will still need to bring additional sources of food.

3) From everything I've read on the web site and the various email notices I've gotten, there have been sales of \"exclusive tickets\" and \"early bird tickets\". From the web site and emails, the early bird ticket refers to the $79 GA ticket. I have not read anything that specifically stated \"VIP tickets will be available on this date.\", yet VIP tickets went on sale Friday morning with the early bird GA tickets. Did I miss some information somewhere regarding the on sale date of VIP tickets?

4) Concerning Friday's VIP ticket sales, so what was that? An accident? Should they have not been available for sale yet? An unannounced sale of an initial small batch of tickets to see what kind of demand there was for them? Or was that the actually beginning of VIP sales and it was just poorly marketed?

5) The VIP tickets are gone from the purchase page now, some 48 hours after they went on sale. Are they gone because it was an accident and they should never have been on sale? Are they gone because that was an unannounced sale of a small batch of tickets, which are now sold out but more VIP tickets will be available later? Or was that it... all the VIP tickets went on sale Friday unannounced, sold out in 48 hours, and that's that, VIP tickets are sold out?

Sorry for all the questions. I left last year intending to go VIP this year. I passed on the exclusive tickets holding out for VIP tickets, hoping there would be some more VIP information released because I was still undecided seeing there was a $45 price increase and I was concerned about \"snacks\" instead of \"meals\". When I saw the VIP tickets went on sale Friday without any more VIP information being released, I realized it was now time to make up my mind because there was probably enough people who had decided to definitely go VIP to sell them out. Weighing my options and looking over the available information, I purchased 2 early bird GA tickets Friday.

I'm a little upset that I ended up paying about $50 more for a pair of early bird tickets than the pair of exclusive tickets would have cost me and I only incurred this additional $50 expensive because I was waiting on more VIP info which never happened. I was afraid by the time enough information about VIP came out so that I could make an educated decision one way or another, that the VIP tickets would be sold out and the GA tickets would be at their $99 price level.

Oh well, IF it turns out more VIP tickets will be available later AND more VIP information is released that makes me believe VIP is the way to go, I can always buy up a pair of VIP tickets and sell my GAs for $79 after you're selling them for $99.

Hi Ben, thanks so much for finally stopping by and asking some questions in a respectful manner instead of just bashing us on other messageboards. Here is the information that I can provide as of right now:

1. VIP plans have not been finalized as of yet. The lack of information is intentional as we do not want to make promises for specific amenities and then be forced to nix those plans. The justification for the $45 increase in ticket prices is to offer better amenities and services. I figure this would be fairly obvious to someone with your high level of intelligence.

2. It says snack service because we are working on a comprehensive meal plan to service all tastes. Probably not the best word to use but do you really think that we are going to charge 300 bucks for Chex Mix and granola bars? Also last year the VIP information used the exact same working early on if I recall correctly.

3. I think you're reading too much into this Ben. VIP tickets are available now and went on sale on Friday. There was a point in time that a computer glitch caused the sale of VIP tickets to stop but this has been fixed now. If only we had a good Software Quality Assurance Engineer we'd be in better shape but for right now that's a bit out of our range.

Questions 4 and 5: See answer 3.

This forum is here for a reason. You could have asked numerous people who bought VIP tickets last year what was provided, was it worth it, etc. Instead you choose to become extremely irate and even stated that we can \"Suck your balls.\" I'm speaking on behalf of the Wakarusa Music Festival when I politely decline the offer to taste your scrotum.

Now let me share something with you. We are working extremely hard to put on the best possible festival for all parties involved. We have a vast array of people working around the clock to make this one of the best festivals to ever occur on US soil. However we don't have the vast amount of resources that other, more corporate festivals have amassed. Therefore your patience is required and appreciated...we promise that we will make it worth your while.

I'm glad you have to register to read MOHeads because I don't want Wakarusa reading all about how I think they are complete dumbasses who don't know a computer from their assholes.

Too late poopa smurf. Next time stop by and ask some questions before you go on a useless rant about how we're trying to rip you off and that we don't know ****. If you think that you would have a better time lying on a new foam matress watching TV all weekend while everybody else is getting down at Wakarusa then more power to you, it sounds like the perfect weekend for a self-proclaimed \"super duper loser.\" Best, David

I had to go read this other board to clue me in. If you read Papa's old posts, he was all about Waka. It was like he just got some bad stuff and needed to take it out on someone.

\"Available individually this time... that's nice. Still under $300... that's nice too.\" quote from Papa himself. When did the price of VIP start to need justification?

Can I send an open invite to all the lurkers to join us here on the Waka board. If you have a question, please ask it. If we have the answer, we will answer it. Sometimes questions can't be answered at the time they are asked, but they will be answered.
