Well, it seems like not too long ago when I was amazed by the little propane coleman grills and envious of the super decked-out camp sites. After some years of curling up by a tree or by a campfire someone was nice enough to share with me in order to catch some zzzz's, I have finally become more of a \"modern\" car camper. I have to confess that I love all of the little camp gear and gadgets available these days - cool lights and lanterns - screened porch tents - fold away picnic tables - blenders that plug into your cig lighter - all kinds of kitchen gear - strange water filtration devices - strange new tents.
What is your favorite camp gear? Bringing anything new this year you can't wait to try out?
Cya all soon and take it slow.
Futon Mat on the floor of my tent is my favorite camping item ;)

A couple of years ago, I splurged and bought some nice rain gear. Two things I really hate in life: being cold and wet.
Little boy blue. He is my 1 foot, bottle glass thick, blue smoking device. I love him and he always comes with to festivals. Other than that, I would say the blow up air mattress, my tent that I can put up when I am really drunk, or my new 10x10 shelter that will provide some shade next weekend.

I'd say the air Mattresses and air pump are my fav.
I just bought a new tent, and its a monster. This will be the first time sleeping in it. Hope its like a home away from home.

My wife's will probably be the new camp toilet she bought for those late night \"nature calls\". She had a bad experience at Red Rocks and now hates Kybos.

I love my lounge chair cushion--much more comfy than a blowup mattress.

My self inflating sleeping pad. Roll it out, watch it inflate, and voila! A nice bed! Unfortunately, the hard part is rolling it up and squeezing all the air out of it.

Same here for the tent. It is a columbia and is 12 x 9. I don't know what I am going to do with all that new space. My former tent was 6 x 8. What a difference.

shukky, my new tent is a Coleman Family Dome Tent, 3 rooms, 14' x 14', sleeps 9. I did a set up in the front yard. It takes a while to get up, but I'll have help at the fest. Should be fast and easy.

Nice, I looked at that one in the process. It is HUGE!!! I got mine for $119 and thought it was a great deal! I too did a trial and it took a bit of time but was well worth it!

Cool tent shukky. Lots of big vents to get some air flow. Is that a cooler port next to the front door? Mine is on the back, and I was thinking about using it for trash. Put somthing to catch it in on the outside. lol

We got ours at that evil empire, Wal-Mart, but you can find them at any outdoorsy-sporty stores. I thing we paid around 4 or 5 bucks for it. At Bonneroo we would fill it up with the non-potable water and put it on top of our vehicle and let the sun warm it up. It is small and easy to transport too. I highly recommend them for festivals.
