Went to the moe. show last night at Liberty Hall (the band bored me to tears last night), anyway, I picked up a flier at the Wakarusa table in the lobby and they had Los Lonely Boys, JBT, and Carbon Leaf added on the flyer. hmm....

JBT is bluegrass right? I have never heard them, but believe I have heard of them. I have no idea who Carbon Leaf is and think Los Lonely Boys are slightly overated. Not to sound negative or anything; I mean it is great that more bands are coming, just not real happy with those in particular.

I hate to break it to everyone but the Los Lonely Boys are not slated to play the festival this year. A few handbills did get circulated at last night's show that listed them in the lineup but this a typo stemming from the reuse of a flyer template from last year. We needed some promo materials quickly and in our haste this mistake was overlooked. We offer our apologies to anyone that we may have confused. The other artist additions are correct.

Hell, I was about to call my cousin at 4am to tell him LLB got added to the fest. We both love them and wish they were coming back. Maybe Waka could give them a call

Gunner, You shouldn't knock John Butler Trio if you haven't listened to them. And the lyrics are right on. Every song makes sense and makes you want to be a better person. Also how can you down somebody with so much respect for mother nature. Please give them a chance. I know I'll be in front of them no matter who is playing the other stages.

hey kenny1...I am not familiar with JBT, but your kind words about the band and how they make you feel, makes me want to make sure I catch them at this year's Waka fest. I'm always on the lookout for new (to me anyway) music.
I'll try to catch you on the rail during JBT's set(s).

I thought it was one hell of a show. Band and crowd were having a great time. I just burned the show and am now smiling and remembering what a good sound it was. Try to give them another chance if you can.
I love the John Butler Trio. If you want to check them out pre-Waka, they've got 72 shows for you to choose from on the Live Music Archive.

saw JBT at Austincitylimits fest last fall and liked them a lot-bought a cd. Some of their music leans toward reggae.
