I saw Mule at the Uptown Theater on 2/11. Best Mule show I've seen. I'm a big Panic fan that's always liked Mule, but thought of them as kind of a second stage act. Not any longer. I'll take Warren's slide and wraspy soul splitting voice any day. I'd like to see JB and Warren work together. On second thought, maybe not. The tone in their voices might not work. The two pitches would work well, but not so sure about the tone. All of the other posts on this forum are saying they think UM and SCI are the headliners. While I can't be completly bias (\"how long can we live with our heads in the sand\"). So, I have to admit SCI is a huge addition to this festival. However, I could see myself missing SCI show, not Mule!!
I went to Bonnaroo the first year (seems like forever ago) and I skipped Trey's festival ending show. All of my friends said it was the best show of the festival. However, the time I had instead of attending that show was much better than the show ever could have been. Alright, I'm rambling and I'm off the point.
Can't wait to see Mule at WAKA!!!

Hey Blue Indian... Actaully, JB and Warren have played/worked together. Warren opened for Panic one nite (out of the three Panic played) at The Backyard in Bee's Cave, Texas in October 2003. Warren then joined Panic on stage during their set. Pretty good listening...although I don't remember Warren doing any vocals during his stint onstage with Panic.
I miss Alan Woody's bass and am having a hard time adapting to the Mule's new line-up and sound. Hope they change my mind at Wakarusa because I believe Warren Haynes to be one of the best in the business. And Matt Abs is a top notch drummer.
My mind is open. Bring on the Mule!!!

It was a little hard for me to accept the \"New Mule\" too...but with Warren being frontman...how can you go wrong? The KC show was awesome...can't wait to get the burn. Lola and Jezabel both rocked...and Matt's solo was awesome. So although it took me awhile to get into some of the tunes on Voodoo...it was worth keeping my mind open. Is it true that Warren is going to play with others as well??? wooo hoooo!!!! June can't come too soon!!!
Nancie
Warren (named a dog after him!)...please play \"Going Out West\"! WE WILL APPRECIATE YOU...I PROMISE!!! :D
