Has anyone else looked at the weather forcast for the festival? weather.com is predicting thunderstorms and showers for the whole weekend. I just bought a new canopy and my tent is still damaged from Haymaker, but I'm not going to let a little bad weather stand in my way. Wakarusa here I come, rain or shine!

Yeah it'll be great either way, and besides, if weather people can't seem to predict what tomorrow will be like, how much can you trust 'em to predict the weather a week from now?

weather.com has isolated storms on Thursday ~ partly cloudy weather (should help on the heat) for Fri-Sun ~ temps from 60-85.

The last local weather in Kansas City showed no storms in the area for Weds-Fri. Weds 75, Thurs 85 & Friday 87 degrees. Humidity will make all the difference and sometimes it is like breathing through a sponge in this part of the country. Bring tarps for shade because many camp sites do not have trees and you don't get to pick. Rain or shine I can't wait - see you all there!

I think the weather looks great (albeit a little warm/humid).... a little shower won't hurt anything as long as it doesn't get nasty... always nice for cooling things off... I'm ready!!

Another good site - for an alternative to weather.com - is http://www.weatherunderground.com

I find they are more accurate sometimes. here's what they are currently calling for Waka-weekend:

Wednesday and Wednesday Night
Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. Lows in the mid 60s.

Thursday through Saturday
Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 80s. Lows in the mid 60s.

Sounds great! :P

Man, with all of the rain that we've had in the KC area over the last week, you would think that it is all out of the system...

Here's to good weather and great times :!:

Cheers - Salute - Prost - Kampai - Drink Up!!!

I checked the weather today (sunday). Looks good. This time of year in the heart of the midwest there is always a chance for afternoon T-storms. However, if it does rain it should be only a 10 minute shower. Temps should be in low to mid 80's. Very reasonable.

That's the national weather service web page weather forecast for the area. It changes daily, so check for updates.
