Gate Opening Time For General Camping

I got my tickets in the mail last night :)

Did anyone else notice the time that the gates are opening for general camping? The letter that came with the tickets stated that they were to open at 12:01am on Thursday. I wasn't expecting them to open that early. I believe the gates opened at 8:00am last year. I hadn't planned on taking Wednesday off, but I will still be at work at 12:01am if I don't. Oh well, more vacation for me.

Hmm...I've never set up a tent in the dark.

Damn....that's gonna be a camping stumble-fvck for sure. Setting up in the headlights or dark. Maybe it will make the lines run smooth though...

It will be interesting to see how many people are there and ready to head on it at 12:01am.

I assume that opening the gates that early will make traffic a little smoother. I remember the morning traffic of people heading to work trying to make it through all the people waiting in line for Waka '06

We have plenty of flashlights to take. I'm not scared of the dark. 8)
It is always fun getting there right when the gates open.
