VIP Potluck for 7 or so on Wednesday, before growler shindig

Just trying to get a feel if the VIP'ers want to do this again this year. Last year was cool, but I spent over an hour and a half trying to get that STELLA!!! keg tapped that they gave me the wrong tap for.....so I missed most of it.

1st Place in a wild game cook-off at an Arkansas Board of Contractors event 4 years ago. We won in a landslide, too. Pheasant Spaghetti came in second. 8)

I'm going to try to bring something! You guys dont want me to cook, but I'll see what I can come up with. :) I'm planning on taking 5 days to drive from NC to KS so I wont be able to put anything together untill Im closer to KS.

On a side note, does anyone know if there is somewhere to get dry ice in Lawrence?

I'm not a VIP so I won' be attending the potluck, but I just had a question about the cops taking the keg, how did this happen? I have taken kegs the last 3 years, I am fairly discreet about it, but I don't want to lose a keg. :?

hey pauly - this is our first time to waka and a buddy and i are driving in from denver wednesday afternoon... (2 more meeting us on friday) so we won't get there till probably about 10ish or so. we'll pick something up on the way... probably won't be as good as the the duck though!

on a side note, our two buddies that are driving in on friday, they won't have any problem getting back to our camping area with the car will they? or is that hard to say?

As long as they have VIP tickets, they shouldn't have any problem. I would set up a big tarp on the ground next to your site so they have a place to put their tent and car.

If you're not going to be there until 10, you'll probably miss the potluck. By then I imagine most folks will be down in Campground 1 for the growler party.

I was a dummy and left it out in the open.....in the middle of our campsite. Technically, you're not supposed to have them in a state park.

It was kinda a pain in the ass anyway.......I bet we spent over $40 on ice just to keep it cold.

yeah, we all have VIP tix, i just wasn't sure how acceptable it would be for me to lay down a tarp for them for 2 days. some people get pretty ticked about that kind of thing.

Are you bringing a keg this year? If you are, will be located in Upgraded Campground 1, and are looking to make a new best friend, this fat man will not let you down.

So the potluck is on again this year? We'll try and pick something up at the Super Target (salad, etc.) because we're driving from Texas and I don't want anything to spoil!! :)
