I was gonna do a poll, but it's best to just list them.

ONE ACT. The ONE act that if you miss, you will spiral into depression, wander the Earth alone naked and desolate, cry in a corner like a child, and give up your music loving life for a more spiritual existance.

For me, it's both nights of Ozrics.....

Duh...

For me it's probably Panic. I'll be there, front and center, no matter what.

On the other hand, there are other bands I want to see just about as bad - D-Nove, Toubab, BTF, and maybe even Ozrics, Raq, and PGroove.

But if I was absolutely forced to choose one act, it's Panic. I have more confidence in Panic than I do in any other band.

That brings up a good question . . .

How confident are you that your band will blow you away???

ALO

I saw part of their set in '05 but they were already about halfway through when I got there (it was in the middle of the day). This time I plan to get there early, they have released a couple albums since I heard them and what tracks I've heard are great.

Maybe Pgroove? Then again Ozric sounds interesting. Brent Berry will be good. But as far as acoustic goes, theres always the Waybacks.

You people would not BELIEVE how hillarious it is to watch Salmon function in the morning after a night of kicking around until all hours of the morning. Basiclly it's like watching a blind zombie try and peel a pineaple with a nerf ball. Just one of the many-many-many things that I will spend my time next weekend laughing at and enjoying.

I hear there might be some music playing in the background too......or something.

Little Feat, of course. But, will for sure catch at least one of Grace Potter's and Railroad Earth's sets. Also can't miss Sam Bush or Yonder, either. Depending on who shows up, Everyone Orchestra could be epic. And finally, I hope I have the energy left to make it to one of the sets of both Be Good Tanyas and That 1 Guy. Tooooo much fun!!! Maybe we should say which DAY is the can't miss, rather than which acts.

Here's an excerpt from a recent online chat with Brett Mosiman, booker of the festival:

slowburn: Hey Brett, thanks for bringing this whole shindig to Lawrence? What act(s) are you most looking forward to seeing?

Brett Mosiman: I (like almost everyone of our staff) am a huge music fan. Some of my most anticipated acts: Citizen Cope, Ben Harper, Son Volt, Sam Bush, New Mastersounds, Tangleweed, Yonder Mountain, Ozric Tentacles, Grace Potter, John Butler Trio???. Way too many to name.
