Anyone who is interested---> a couple of us Wakarusa-goers are thinking that putting together a mindful practice on one (or more?) of the days would be cool. Let me or Mad4Yoga know if you want to participate.

I was thinking, if there wasn't a class already planned, I would get the weekend started with some flowing vinyasa by the lake Thursday afternoon. I don't know how long it'll take me from the time the gates open at 11:00 to get to my spot and get all set up, but the music starts at 4:30. So maybe 3:00 or 3:30?

What do you think?

If I get there in time I'd probably be up for checking it out. I've only done \"power yoga\" but am interested in trying other things.

I would be interested Friday and Sunday mornings. I would Saturday, but I'm doing a triathlon in Topeka that morning. Where do you think you will be doing yoga? The beach area?

I very much would enjoy yoga with some of you beautiful people. Would anybody be offended if I practice naked with you? Just Wondering...Thank you.

Ken.Pill - I think the phrase here is \"Come as you are,\" man. I myself am more comfortable practicing with my dangling parts secure, if you know what I mean. Eagle pose can be most painful if your man-stuff gets in the wrong place

Okay, so I am definitely gonna be practicing by the beach area Thursday afternoon at 3:00 pm. Music starts at noon Friday, so I was thinking about some sun salutations around 11:00 to get the day started right. I'll most likely skip Saturday since late-night Particle Friday promises to be a serious party, and Hackensaw Boys are playing early on Saturday. Can't miss them. Sunday's iffy.

What does everybody think?

If we like the times, I'll gladly print up a few fliers and post them at the general store and the coffee shop Thursday afternoon, and maybe we can pick up a few more yogi's and yogini's along the way.

Peace,

Philip

i would really appreciate it if you would post some flyers up. that would be so awesome. like i said, the more, the merrier. but i think everyone should keep their clothes on. i'm all about freedom, but i would 1) hate to turn people off to practicing with us and 2) wouldn't want the \"powers that be\" to shut us down because some people can't keep their pants on. sorry to be a bummer, that's just how i feel about it.

I'm with Yogamerd here. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with nudity, and there is some skinny dipping in store for me this weekend, but as I said earlier a yoga pose can quickly turn ugly if certain body parts aren't secured.

And plus, unless you're practicing at night, nudity is bound to make someone (even if it's just the powers that be) uncomfortable. Yoga is about finding comfort and relaxation in sometimes unfamiliar positions. So let's make sure everyone can acheive this.

Wear something comfortable, bring your mat and perhaps a sheet to lay out under your mat to avoid coating its underside with grass, sand, or whatever else we may encounter.

Oh and please don't forget to bring your radiant self.

Namaste,
Philip
