This post is simply speculation.
Does it seem a little bit odd to anyone that Jay Farrar is not only performing with Son Volt on Friday but also plans to do a solo set the same day (saturday) that Wilco is performing? Could something special be brewing between them?

Have Jay and Jeff settled their artistic differences? If they have, Uncle Tupelo would be a must see.

I read an article recently in the KC Star where Jeff mentioned he would be open for an Uncle Tupelo reunion...We can only hope it happens at Waka!

I'd be surprised but it I guess it's not impossible. I think if Brian Henneman from the Bottle Rockets (and former Uncle Tupelo member) was present it would help make it happen. I guess the BR's lost their bass player recently but I'd sure love to see Brian do a solo set or even team up with Farrar's solo set as they often play together. He could help bring the spirit of UT back. He was instrumental in the Coffee Creek sessions and even played with them at their last show in 94.

well I dont know if Brian will be there but former tupelo drummer Mike Heidorn will be perfroming with Son Volt. Plus Wilco bassist John Stirratt was a part of tupelo towards the end. This means no less than four (Jay, Jeff, Mike & John) former tupelo members will be at this festival. Most importantly, all of the original members (jay, jeff & Mike) will be there.
