Questions regarding the adequacy of the port-a-pot/restroom facilities at the festival/campground site.
We have a friend in Seattle who would love to make the trip and meet us at Wakarusa but has recurring nightmares from our truly horrible port-a-pot experience at IT.
Could anyone give us some honest feedback regarding the state (cleanliness and whether or not they are emptied on a regular basis) and type of facilities (jiffy johns/pit toilets/flush) at Wakarusa?
Thanks for your help.

Last year, the portapotties were kept clean. I don't think you will experience anything remotely close to what the portapotties looked like at \"IT\". If I'm not mistaken, I believe you can actually find toilets that flush if you make your way to where the shower facilities are at the park. I think the only time I remember using a portapottie inside the festival last year it was very clean (that was on the last day as well). If portapotties are what is driving your friends decision, tell him/her to book their flight and buy their ticket now!

YYR, there are at least 3 shower buildings with flush toilets in the park.

Yep, went to school in Lawrence and spent much time at Clinton Lake. As opposed to IT or Roo or most other festivals, this is a park that is designed to hold a lot of people and has decent facilities. Now, I wouldn't expect to walk in and sh$#, shower, and shave anytime you want, but expect a line and if you time it decently you'll be all kinds of allright.
