Alright, so I was a Larryville local last year who only got out to the park on Sunday evening. I'm returning to Kansas this year from Chicago for the whole shebang. I've heard such great things about the \"other stages\" and jam sessions that went on throughout the whole weekend. What's the best way to find information on these stages? Does someone make a schedule or a line-up or is it more of a free-for-all-crazy-get-down jam session?

\"I believe the \"smaller, unofficial\" stage you may be talking about WAS the Owngrown stage, if you're referring to the stage in the campground that shared a tent w/ the coffee shop. It was organized by CPJS and Darkhorse productions and featured several scheduled shows a day by local and regional acts, meet and greets, and latenights, the standout being a barn-burning Shanti Groove set featuring Vince from LOS. While it is not confirmed I believe there are plans to do the same sort of thing this year. There is also talk of a DJ/Hip-hop tent, no word as to whether it will be in the campground or concert area.\"

-That's a quote from a post I sent in response to a question from another thread. The shows were scheduled, not just a free-for-all, but featured a lot of crossover jamming among local musicians as well as the amazing Shanti Groove and friends latenight. Nothing is confirmed yet, but just keep watching this site and probably the CPJS site for more info and a lineup. Hopefully there will be info posted about the DJ tent soon as well, Team B has said it's in the works.
