He's gettin up there in years and it shows in his lack of stage presence nowadays...I saw them at Lollapalooza in the early 90's and they were amazing. I saw them again in Wichita, KS about 5 years ago and it was lackluster at best. It seemed like Clinton was moving away from the power of funk and leaving more and more to his new jack rappers...

May 6th is going to rock my socks off! I loooove the P-Funk! Last time I saw them was at the city market show and my friend and I got to dance on stage with them...RAWK! Only 25 buckaroos for the show at the Beaumont...thats a dillydeal! I love the crowds at the George Clinton shows too, always such a great time! :P

I've seen P-Funk a few times and have always come away a little bit disappointed. Maybe it's because I listened to Dr.Dre and Snoop Dog before P-Funk, but I expected them to be a lot funkier. I think that KDTU or Galactic brings the funk better than P-Funk, but maybe that's just because Clinton is getting old.

Exactly my point....Clinton was funky as hell at Lollapalooza in the early 90's but the more recent show was more of a hip hop show....I still love the funk!!! KDTU late night baby!!
