Is Upgraded camping all good spots? Map?

Since this will be my first year at waka I have no idea of the layout of the festy grounds and camping areas. I am thinking upgrade camping has its benefits of the fire ring and being able to know I have my spot no matter when I arrive. However, I have no idea if I am going to have a good upgraded spot.
A few ?s:
1. Are all of the upgraded spots better than regular spots (my criteria for this probably puts wooded/shade at the top, along with not next to the crap-o-lots, and finally it would be nice to be a reasonable distance from the stages)?
2. If the upgrades are not all better, then does anyone have any tips or reccommendations from last year?
3. Where is a map of the grounds?

All the upgraded spots are pretty decent. There are areas that are small, but not too many of them. Most of them are really, really nice.

If you don't get an upgraded spot, there are spots in the back of the campground that are nice. They are further from the stage, but with the bus, it's not a big deal. Plus, the walking is really great anyways. There were a LARGE amount of people that camped side by side close to Shakedown Street, but I think they wanted to do that because there were lots of open spaces at the back of the campground.
3. Where is a map of the grounds? I'm not sure about that, but you might look up Clinton state park on the net and see if they have one.
