The shuttle is currently docked with the International Space Station, they're going to fly over the show while still attached on two nights and should be very visible if the sky is clear.
On
Thursday night at 10:33 p.m.
Approach from NW 33° Departing 74° ESE
and
Saturday at 9:42 p.m.
Approach from NW 43° Departing 19° SW

Sunday they should have just separated and will be very close in the sky but they'll be lower on the horizon.

Be sure to wave at the astronauts.

Very cool, I'll have to step out of the revival tent Thursday and look up during HBR on Saturday. I'll even mark it on my schedule. Can't wait for all that is ahead of us all! It's only fitting.

Indeed. Will anyone have a telescope?

you don't need a telescope. it's moving too fast for that. they'll cross the whole sky in about a minute or less.

here's a blurry pic I took of the space station and shuttle shortly after separating. the shuttle is first.

Hope Buckethead's sonic shards won't disable it Thurs night! Watch out for falling debris!!

On a more serious note... By the looks of the weather forecast, Sat night will be more clear...

Thanks for the heads up!!

I can see it! I can even see the people through the windows! Look, a cosmonaut named Igor!

I'm just kidding, that's very cool. It's crazy seeing something hauling ass through the sky like that. Then think, \"Damn, there are actually people up there!\"
