Great tune, I couldn't hear the words too well, here's they lyrics Dylan recorded.

\"Diamond Joe\"

Now there's a man you'll hear about
Most anywhere you go
And his holdings are in Texas
And his name is Diamond Joe.

And he carries all his money
In a diamond-studded jar
He never took much trouble
With the process of the law.

I hired out to Diamond Joe, boys
Did offer him my hand
He gave a string of horses
So old they could not stand.

And I nearly starved to death, boys
He did mistreat me so
And I never saved a dollar
In the pay of Diamond Joe.

Now his bread it was corn dodger
And his meat you couldn't chaw
Nearly drove me crazy
With the waggin'of his jaw.

And the tellin' of his story
Mean to let you know
That there never was a rounder
That could lie like Diamond Joe.

Now, I tried three times to quit him
But he did argue so
I'm still punchin' cattle
In the pay of Diamond Joe.

And when I'm called up yonder
And it's my time to go
Give my blankets to my buddies
Give the fleas to Diamond Joe.

It automatically censors us, Sterling, on certain words.
I discovered this months ago trying to post about all the sexually explicit forum names that were getting registered.
It's a lot of fun to type up a post and then hit Preview to see what happens. :)

I think you can't type ****, but you can type mother****ers.

Which as I pointed out in another thread, when used by Wayne Coyne at Wakarusa, means \"brothers and sisters.\"

They're amazing! They reminded me of that 8 year old kid with the Mountain Gypsies last year at Mulberry! Dean? He was playing instruments his dad made by hand.

From jacktuttle.com (the dad):

He is also the music editor of Fiddler Magazine and has written ten instructional books. He has also developed and taught special seminars in History of Bluegrass, Critical Listening to Bluegrass and Music Theory for Bluegrass. In 2007, Jack was presented with the California Bluegrass Association's distinguished Honorary Lifetime Membership Award.
and
His current and past students heavily populate the jam scene in the South Bay and on the Peninsula.

Somebody swing by San Francisco and bring these kids to Mulberry with you!

My girlfriend saw them on Trampled by Turtles' myspace page. After I checked it out, I was simply amazed. I swear, I've watched this video, not to mention the other Tuttle vids, about 50 times already.

My first thought was \"It would rock to see these kids at a festival\". These kids should be signed up for Telluride asap. There's more talent in those three little kids then there is in the last 15 years of TRL.

Coop, you look like you've got a little one. I suggest you put a banjo in his hand immediately. And, since it was my idea, I hereby declare myself manager.
