I just returned from seeing Signal Path at the Kenetic Playground here in Chicago...and all I can say is WOW! I saw these guys at Waka last year and liked it but they blew me away tonight. Anyone who was there, you know what I'm talking about. There guys need to be a Waka again this year, and they need to play a late night set. :D

I've been pushing for SP at waka this year, but It seems it's just been me. I've seen them about a dozen times, I cant wait for the 2 BBking shows next weekend, the after party for WP. I super glad to hear you enjoyed them, they have become my favorite band in that style of tunes, almost fav ever

I thought Signal Path was pretty sweet at Waka last year. It'd be cool to see them play a longer set.

The difference between hearing SP during the day and at night (they started at 1am) was incredible...this band was made to play at night. Of course, considering I was standing right in front of Ben (percussion and elcetric drums) the whole time might have added to the sweetness. Those guys are all so humble too, after the show they were really accessible and friendly. They have definately catapulted themselves pretty high on my favorite live bands list.

I talked to them for quite awhile last Tuesday and Wednesday when they were in Iowa. They said they want to play too but Wakarusa basically said no way.
Maybe we can get them to reconsider? TeamB?

There are a variety of reasons that Signal Path is not playing at this year's festival. Really it boils down to us wanting to give bands more time to play this year. This translate into about a dozen less bands in the lineup as compared to last year. Also we like to mix things up and give other bands a chance to play the festival, so there you have it. It's not like Wakarusa is anti-Signal Path or anything and I highly doubt that the words \"no way\" were used in any discussion. In fact you can bet on Signal Path playing Wakarusa in the years to come...

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear you guys say you're going to give bands more time to play this year. I'd love to see Signal Path on the bill, but I'll gladly sacrifice quantity of acts in favor of longer sets.

Hope I didn't sound condescending there, just repeating what I was told. Longer sets sound great! :D

We're glad that you guys agree with us on the longer set times. And no Jason you did not sound condescending in the slightest. 8)

I am glad to hear about the bands having more time to play. Last year, just having I believe it was an hour, just wasn't long enough.
THANKS :D
