Team B, acording to the information on reserved camping, we pick the area and YOU assign the best availible spot???
We have a very large rv (40\") and I have already surveyed the sites , do we have any say in which sites we can request?
Thanks :D

This is correct; you pick the area and then the system assigns you a specific spot. However any of the premium campsites (the blue ones) should accomodate your 40' ft RV.

Once the system has picked your site will it tell you , and do I have the option to cancel and pick annother area?
Two of the premium sites have sewer hookups (I'm not telling) and that is what we are looking at ,but how does the system know what the \"best availible sites are? does it list them?
Thanks. :D

Honestly we are not sure if the site will appear before or after the actual order is placed. What we do know is that the site number will appear on the \"confirmation of order\" page. When 10:00 rolls around what you can do is quickly place a mock order and see if the site number pops up before you actually make your purchase. If it doesn't then you just might have to roll the dice and see what happens...good luck.

Yeah, rolled the dice because they do not give you an option, then I get two campsites, and they are not even next to each other!!! Waka has failed me for the first time!

We are right next to each other. I am in 145 and 146 in shady grove. Which is a nice area. Did not want the site area that I was in last year, which I wanted real bad!

There are not that many upgraded sites, so I don't know why this could not be done with a live body on the phone???
thanks :D

We're not sure why you can't choose which area you want to camp in! We spent a lot of time setting this up...looks like the sites are still on sale though.

i think we are all upset that we were told we would be able to pick our camp ground area and instead we were just assigned a random site. no choice at all. i would love an explanation for why we were unable to pick a site. i assumed a dropdown box with a list of the campgrounds or something similar.
instead we just got moved through an order page with no choices until a site was given to us. and now it is already sold out so there seems to be no option.
disappointing

just talked to customer service, not much left he said. My numbers that I got were in consecutive order, but the way the sites are laid out, they are not next to each other. Will just have to trade, or talk to whomever is next to us, to see if they want to switch.

The whole not be able to pick your own site is BS. It was advertised that you could and it may still be that way on the website.
But, please, don't complain that it sold out too fast. There were only 40 upgraded sites available in campground 1.
In any event... KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS AND CONFIRMATION EMAIL. I have a feeling this is going to be all kinds of chaotic and proof of purchase will be necessary at some point I have a feeling.

i am still looking forward to a great weekend of music and friends and fun. i had just hoped to not have to worry too much about what my campsite would be like since i knew what camp area i was going to request and they said we would get a choice.
i am sure arranging camping for a bunch of people is a real challenge. i just hope the festival will be as fun as it was last year and doesnt turn into a big fight over who camps where. if we have to wrangle with people over who's receipt says who got what campground, that is going to be un-fun.
but it is still about the music and i am looking forward to some good tunes and some 'less-then-my-first-choice' camping

Why didn't they say that there would only be 40 campsites for upgrade that aren't family sites? Seems like withholding info is the best way to ensure that there is plenty of interest!

Looking at the provided maps would have told you that. Not enough fingers and toes to count that high may have been an issue I guess. Are you from Arkansas?

I looked at the map and counted. I think it was implied that Upgrade Camping was extremely limited. Maybe I spent too much time in this forum and got that idea and it wasn't portrayed that way on the website.
I asked when I first purchased my waka tickets. they said mid-March.
Then they said you'd be able to pick your campsite, not just your campground.
I guess I'm just wishing for a little consistency.
Oh, and Pedro, eat a bag of dicks.

Thanks KB but I'm trying to watch the lbs.
Anywhozle - I too am let down that I couldn't choose my location as promised but I also understand that space is limited and at a premium. Don't come on here bitching that you were 'mislead' about the number of spaces available - that's lame.

I don't remember saying ANYTHING about being misled. Un-led, is more the word I would use.
I was on the site WAITING for the 10 a.m. deadline. at 10 a.m., I started trying to click, and when I got through (10:02), campground 1 was already sold out.
However, they made me buy my festival tickets a month and a half in advance, so I have some commitment to attend anyway, even though it didn't go down the way they said because \"the ticket-house dropped the ball big-time.\" So, they pass that disappointment on to us.

KB: Did you receive a site? Are you unhappy with it? If so then feel free to request a refund: info@wakarusa.com
Also how many upgraded camping sites that are available is as plain as day! Can you see the visual representation there? We can't dictate the demand for upgraded either so you need to relax.

Un-led in this case equates to Un-interested or Un-willing to read the information provided on this site that more than handily explains the camping situation. You obviously know how to use the message boards where there's a wealth information from campers at last years festival. I get your frustration about having to purchase tickets and then wait for your camping upgrade - that makes sense. I'm certain if you purchased your tickets \"a month and a half ago\" you'll easily be able to sell them at face value on ebay or this board as the prices are much higher now.

Hey, anybody willing to trade their 148 or 142 for my 143 so our group in 144 can be together?
This can still work out if we all want it to.
