What is this like at Waka? I know we are at a new site, but in the past, how was the course set up?
Are we talking 9 holes with 100 players? in the woods? whats the deal?!?
I am looking forward to making a fool of myself out there, but it would kinda suck to have a long wait between each toss, and then having to hustle out there to take that second stroke to avoid getting hit

For as much as I love disc golf, I've never thrown a round at Wakarusa. I guess I go there for music and friends. If I'm gonna play, I'd rather hit a more established and challenging course. I also heard that the course was chock full of chiggers! Do they get those on the Mountain during June?
What I like in a course is elevation changes and tight fairways through the woods. I'm not sure where they'll do this at Mulberry but they have the potential to do it up right, but it would have to be kind of away from the main grounds.

This is so wrong! You should never EVER throw until the party ahead of you is completely clear. It's not just a violation of course etiquette, but it's really freaking dangerous. Those discs can weigh up to a half-pound and travel at a tremendous velocity. Would you throw rocks when someone is in range of your line of fire?
I've played with people who take this very seriously. If you throw at them, well - first of all, don't expect to get your disc back. And second, be prepared to be shouted/cursed at and/or possibly involved in a physical confrontation. Not that I condone violence, but I've seen it happen on more than one occasion. People get angry when they're plunked in the head due to no fault of their own (and someone else's total disregard).
Poor course design, large groups, and searching for lost discs are among the most common factors that lead to back-ups and long waits. You've just got to expect these things to happen, and be patient. Hey - you're playing disc golf, would you really rather be somewhere else? Oh, and if you're playing in a large group, or taking a long time searching for a disc, you need to let other parties play through in order to keep the course running efficiently.

there hasn't been a disc golf course on mulberry mountain before, so the one they're designing will be brand new. we'll be the first people to play it!
