team b,
i am sure that you all are swamped with people bitching about how the camping issue unfolded. no matter whos fault it is, either you guys or the ticketing agency, who was suppose to handle this, 250.00 is a lot of cash for 3 days of camping espically when you do not even have a chance to choose where you want to camp. i got stuck in campground 3 which is a hell of a walk to were the music is being played. in my opinion we should all get a 75.00 credit towards our purchased camping sites. i know you said that the ticketing agency dropped the ball but that is not our problem. since they did drop the ball maybe you all should not pay them their full fee for handling the ticketing for the camping and pass the savings to us, the customers.
thanks,
w

Come on! $75 discount?!?!? Are you serious? Some folks. I am just holding out for a single free beer coupon or something.

$500 dollars over the last 2 years and having Headies who don't pay squat right next to your site, I don't think $75 is too much to ask. Drop by my site Salmon, I will give you my backwash beer bottles.....

Well, you can ask for whatever you want, but you're not getting anything. Why not $150?

Anyhow, I do understand the squatting situation. I'm bringing my wookiebegone spray, large sticks, and a fairly poor attitude towards them. If Wakarusa won't take care of the squatters this year, then I'll have to be a bit more vigilant.

There will be no danger of squatters this year, they will be placed in burlap sacks and beaten with wet, heady noodles.

After a rough start this morning, Team B, you have really come around. Glad to see humor back in your posts. I know a place where we can get burlap sacks cheap.

What's a \"Heady\"?

Well JodyN, as far as I can tell a \"Heady\" (aka head, tour head) refers to a festival goer, more specifically a concert festival attendee with traits that distinguish him or her from the more casual music concert patron. Common traits are, but not necessarily limited to, patchwork clothing, hooping, spinning, dreadlocks and a general appearance of ethereal bliss.

A type of heady cited earlier in this thread is the wookie. Wookie's are more of a bottom feeder kind of heady that can be broken down into two basic categories. There is the rather benign but annoying type of wookie who, for the most part, seems to live off the kindness and hand outs of others. These people show up without any provisions and target well stocked headys and bum off of them to make it through the fest. Harmless enough yet can be very frustrating when they swarm upon you like buffalo nats.

There is another type of wookie, a most loathesome type and one that should be taken seriously and considered dangerous. This is a type of heady, though undeserving of this natty distinction, that goes to shows to rip people off, sell items of dubious quality and generally could care less about the music and cool vibes enjoyed by the good heads. These wookies will try to con you into thinking they're hip and then steal your gear when you leave the camping area. Avoid at all costs.

Maybe this ranting essay will help, JodyN. And, with a dose of good karma and a little luck, you should be able to share your Waka with some good headys and take home the best festival memories of the summer!

We called them \"Tour Rats\" in the 80's & 90's. Always looking for free hand outs and \"miracle\" tickets.

Last year after the storm passed at summercamp the wooks came out of the cracks and started stealing everyones stuff. I almost got my a$$ beat trying to chase them off from the surrounding campsites, but it was worth it. Definately hope to have some good neighbors at waka this year, so we can look out for the wookies.
