I read on the waka site that camelbaks must be empty when you enter the venue. Is this for people that are not camping and are coming in daily or is this for everyone before you can enter the mainstage area. I've never been to mulberry so I have no clue. I just ordered one and it would suck ass if I can't use it.

What can I bring into the show? Non-frame Backpacks, low profile lawn chairs, water bottle, factory sealed water, small snack and empty camelbacks will be allowed into the concert field. All entries will need to go through physical search for unsafe items or items not allowed. This seems clear enough.

Just as you may not carry a can of beer, jug of wine, bottle of whiskey, or pitcher of margaritas through the gate to the concert field, if you bring a camelback it comes in empty and you can fill it at a tap once you are inside.

Awesome info. I didn't know thay would have a tap I could use. I thought I would have to buy water and that defeats the purpose of having one.

Yep, I'd plan on leaving it empty. That said, I believe that rule has always existed, but I don't remember ever having to empty mine in years past. They've also never been strict on the "sealed water bottle". Of course, it's a bit obvious if it's not a clear liquid...

Yeah, there is ALWAYS a potable water tap right inside the gates (or there was at Clinton, and I'm positive there will be at Mulberry too). That way you bring in your empty camelback or nalgene or what have you, and fill it up with FREE WATER.

DRINK LOTS OF WATER. I do not want to see any of you passed out like wooks because you didn't hydrate.

I hope this rule isn't enforced. I bring frozen jugs of filtered water and fill my camelbak with it as it melts. It stays cold for hours, even in the hot sun. I am not trying to sound like a snob, and I will drink the water provided if I have too, but there is nothing more refreshing when your out in the sun all day than to take a big pull of icy cold goodness!

I had mine checked every time I went into the main fest area last year at MM.

I usually freeze a few gallon jugs of water and put them in cooler. keeps stuff cold and pull it out for taking into music venue during the day. Melts thru out day, if they are unopened & sealed; security has always been very cool about it.

This seems to be such a repeated rule a festivals. Why would I spend $50 on a camelback, just to ruin it by putting something other that water in there?
I think it's silly, but so goes the rules..

Usually if you just put ice you c-back, they'll let you in, then fill it with their free water and WA-LA!! Ice-cold heaven in a backpack!

In years past it has just depended upon the person working the gate at the time, Ive had it go both ways, but yes there has def always been free water inside as well.....

i'll just try to walk in with a full water bag everytime... how can they turn you away if you let them drink it and its actually water?

i WALKED IN THE FEST FILLED WITH CAPATIN MORGAN IN MY AND NEVER GOT CAUGHT JUST GIVE THE SECURITY A SMILE AND THEY USUAKKY DONT CHEEK TOO HARD.

Yeah I've never seen them really check the bladder. They just check around the bladder and everywhere else to make sure you're not bringing in beers.
