????
it would be really cool...especially if it was a unique design or something...
...oh yeah, and i don't mean for free, i definitely want to buy a shirt anyway and it be cool to have one belonging only to those who went through the effort to be on the street team

The t-shirts are already in the works...we need a really good phrase to put on the back of the shirt, let's hear some ideas...

Not a Street Teamer, but I try to get the word out on Dickson St. and at work when I can. Forgive my arrogance, but a few ideas to help get the juices flowing:

Don't want to be an ass but please make sure to print up some bigger size shirts. I will gladly hand over cash for a shirt. I was just let down last year after being told for 3 days that there would be many styles of waka XXL shirts only to find out Sunday evening that the people selling the merch had no clue what they were talking about...
Besides...bigger people make bigger billboards!

crazybo, from the event info page: Wakarusa Pronunciation (wah-kuh-ROO-suh)
Wakarusa is a Native American term meaning \"ass-deep\". In and around the Lawrence Kansas area, it refers to the Wakarusa River. The Wakarusa River is the primary stream that feeds Clinton Lake, and, oddly enough, the river's average water depth is about \"ass-deep\".

Hubby and I have a friend with a screen silk machine and were gonna print some shirts for us not to sell (of course  ) that had fozzie on it saying Waka Waka! I really like this idea, but on the same note its the obvious idea. Team B, if we have a say can a poll be created to see what the majority is?

How about a farm animal like a rooster calling out at the top of this lungs, \" WAKA- WAKA- RUU- SA\". You know it's a type of animal that is trying to send a message across the acreage. We are those animals, out there on our quest to enlighten those to such a wonderful summer's event. \"Wake up and be alive, Wakarusa gives such a vibe.\"---maybe that could be on the back or something. It also seems appropriate due to the fact that Kansas is such a farming state, and that's where the festival is at. So it's saying that we are all loud mouth's that speak much of the Festivel, and at same time giving a representation of where the show show we will be that we are speaking so greatly about. I don't know that's just off my head free-thought so...give me some of your free-thought about what I have just said. Have fun with those that will.
---mike---
That's another great idea.
Hilarious and great.
\"Hope to see you there\"

Well, Haskell is right here in Lawrence, and some native has to know something funny as far as \"ass-deep\" goes, maybe an old joke or something that could be related to music and mother nature....I'm new to Lawrence, and just started promoting here, but I can try to look into something.

sandoz,
\"Wake up and be alive, Wakarusa gives such a vibe\"
I like that alot!
I love the \"if you can't see me dancing your too far way!\" one... Classic!
I, too, like the \"If you can't see me dancing...\" one.
Also, whats with the \"ass-deep\" ones? Did I miss something? Don't like those. But you know, thanks for the input, man! lets see lets see...I'm just gonna have to go with my signature--
front being: Wakarusa 2005
back being: Spreading the Good Vibe
or
Street Team 2005:
Spreading the Good Vibe
I like the \"I handed out 1,267 handbills and all I got was this shirt\" one too. I think it'd be rather cool to have \"street team\" on it. Speaking of Wakarusa tshirts---Andrew Mitchell promised me one last year---andrew where you at?! j/k, keep it, its yours.

I like that one, just smile and waka away! Also the i handed out...one,, but not all i got was this lousy shirt, think that those kinda shirts are quazi lame, plus we are getting way more with the festy of the summer! street team would be cool to have on it, and some pretty graphic, maybe just the waka logo big on front and then \"street team 2005, spreading the vibe\" on the back?
tt, wakarusa means ass deep, thats where all thats comin from. Anyone know in what language?

I like that, maybe not for street team shirts, but I think this would SELL. Have the logo like top banner on the left breast (the blue and green spiral with Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival) then on the back \"Just smile and Waka way\"
chickenjig should get royalties :)

titi, here is the answer to your ass deep question taken from the event info page on the waka website: Wakarusa Pronunciation (wah-kuh-ROO-suh)
