:( No love for the Midwest? :(
  2. Sweet pic! That's me on the right side in the checkered shirt. :D
  3. I think that you misunderstood my last post. I have the show and am offering a b&p of it to anyone that wants it.
  4. I got DSL connected today and this was the first show that I downloaded. It clocked in at 83 minutes so it has to be split onto two discs, but I'll b&p it to anyone that wants it.
  5. Is the Railroad Earth show circulating yet?

I hate to beg for shows, but I've been lurking here and on the Earthboard for this show to be offered up, but I've only found other people that are looking for it. I would've bought it at Waka, but...

Tim Carbone from Railroad Earth sat in during Shanti Groove's early set, and the keyboard player from Mule sat in with KDTU for a song or two during their early set.

I thought that they were great musicians, but I didn't really like their vocals. Maybe after a few years of whiskey and cigarettes I'll like 'em more, but they sounded too young for me.

  8. My $.02.....

I went with VIP only for the up-front viewing areas, so as far as that goes, it was well worth it. But I was expecting better snacks and food, and was very disappointed with that. ...

Funniest thing heard or overheard at Waka?

I was walking through the VIP campgrounds toward the restrooms and there was a big german shepard walking by himself toward me from the side. I was about to pet him when a guy walked past me and...

Actually, I was in Saturday's print edition of the Star. I was looking at the pic of Mike Dillon from Hairy Apes BMX, and I was like, \"I was at that show. Whoa, that's me!\" It's a pic of him...

Sounds like a buncha crybabies to me. If you wanna get up front, pay a few bucks more--that's what I did after I saw the VIP sections last year. And no, the VIP areas weren't too big. They may...

Please, no DJ tent next year......or put it with the campground tents. I was in VIP camping and would've been able to chill at my campsite and listen to shows from the Revival Tent or Sun Down...

VIP was so worth it that you wouldn't believe it! For $300 you got a campsite right by the main entrance, up-front viewing areas at each of the three main stages, free beer, water, soda, tea, and...

Machine Gun is a sick song.

Umphrey's is great, but after seeing Big Metal Rooster tonight at the Bottleneck, they definetly deserve a second set...or at least a later set. ...

Boy....that was a great ****in' time! It seems like the Bottleneck got the good night tonight and Liberty got it on Wednesday, if you've got the same musical tastes as I do. Jeff & Vida tore it up...

    Tuesday Pre-Party ROLL CALL!

So who all is doing the pre-parties tonight at the Bottleneck and Liberty Hall? I was bored earlier today so I stopped by and picked up my ticket, so I'm ready to go!

    Also, who's settin' up...
  19. Well, I've got a VIP ticket--so if you're gonna buy me a beer, make it after midnight.

    :D

Panic is beat and should've hung it up for good when Houser died. I've seen every show that they've played at Red Rocks ('95-'03), but I chose not to go this year because they're no good anymore.
  21. I know that I said that the first three would get the shows, but I hate to say no to people, so everyone's in!
  22. Final Free Music Friday before Wakarusa!

Since this is the final FMF before the festival, I figured that I'd keep that theme going with my musical choice. This week's selection is the final Grateful Dead show and the Ratdog show from the...

Since it's the only festival appearance for each of 'em, this is the only conflict of Wakarusa for me. Every other conflict is easily resolved because at least one of the bands is playing another...
  24. They'll have programs at the festival with each day condensed to one page, plus all of the festival info and a paragraph about the bigger acts. Last years' were about the size of a cd jewel case.

The two best ways to avoid theft are to put everything but your tent in your car when you're away (a little extreme, but better safe than sorry), and get to know your neighbors. People are at their...
