That's the one. That thing was seriously awesome. The art in the small side was great, but the multi-media part was amazing.
The Vibe Tribe dome was also cool, but in a different way. ;)
Does anybody remember what the name of those people who had that dome in the main venue with the art exhibit in one side and the trippiest **** you've ever seen on the other side? I kept calling it...
Best quote of the weekend:
"We learned this song from Doc Watson."
No doubt. His guitar is an extension of his body. I saw him at Bonnaroo last year on a tiny stage, and it was nice seeing him on a bigger one at Waka. Hands down the best natural guitarist I've ever...
I'm going with a lot of people, and our campsite will be big. I'm flying this bad boy from my little corner (aka Casa del Mation). I know at least a couple of Browncoats out there will appreciate it....
They had that water slide at Bonnaroo last summer and I never got around to riding it. It looks sweet, though. Definitely going to get in on that at Waka.
I was at the Dallas show and it was phenomenal. Easily one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I've seen some good ones.
Edit: @Pauly's Cheese: I didn't even notice you had used the word...
StubHub doesn't have any now, but I've gotten sold out tickets to other things through them.
I wish. It's going to be hard enough getting off work for one festival, and I still have to pay bills when I get back. It's gotta be one or the other, so I'm going with Waka. I've been to the farm....
I went to Roo the last 2 years, and before up until the final lineup announcement, I kept hoping for Radiohead. This year I decided to do Waka because I want a smaller, more intimate festi, and 3...
I was going to suggest the waterfall, too. Plus it's free. :)
I've been to 2 Bonnaroos, but this is my first Waka, and the Chompdown sounds magical.
Casa del Mation will be flying this beautiful banner this year. 1789
I've never had a bad time at the Farm, but I'm doing my first Waka as well, and I can't wait. The smaller, more close-knit atmosphere sounds great. Not to mention the fact that it's both closer and...
Don't get me wrong. I like Pretty Lights. Saw him the last 2 years at Bonnaroo, and his sets were epic, and I can't wait for this one. That still doesn't mean I want to see an electronic act as the...
The Avetts are one of the best bands there, and their live show is fantastic. DO NOT miss this set. Seriously, if you're less than enthused because you aren't familiar with them, get familiar with...
I'd like to see Furthur. Bob Weir will already be there playing that acoustic set... it's not outside the realm of possibility.
Also would dig seeing the Avett Brothers, Cage the Elephant, Minus...
Furthur. Bob Weir will already be there playing that acoustic set. It's the next best thing to seeing the Dead. And who doesn't love the Dead? :)
