BRING BUG SPRAY
We have spent the last two weekends out at Clinton Lake. The first weekend we came back with massive amounts of chigger bites and covered in ticks.
This past weekend, we stayed off of the trails and only had a few chiggers and a few ticks, so we're thinking the majority of the bugs came from the trails. Just make sure you bring your bug spray!!!!

And get the stuff with DEET
-
We have sunscreen with bug repellent, but it does not have the DEET. I dont really trust the DEET for my body. It ate a hole in my car vinyl at Bonneroo, dont know if I want that on my body. If you want to go natural, take some garlic pills NOW in larger doses
than recommended or eat some garlic while your at the festival continually. Bugs hate the garlic. Also we have citronella essential oil that I have mixed with a base oil to put on us to repell those buggers. Thanks for the heads up Lindy Lou!

Can we burn the citronella yard \"torches\" at our campsites?
-
I would think that citronella torches would be ok, they do allow open campfires in some areas. Definately if you are in upgraded camping. I also was thinking of getting one of those oil lamps rings, the kind you put on a light bulb, to put on top of the grill while its hot. I dont know if it would work, but it makes sense.

You know what I have found to work the very best for mosquitoes are the bug coils. You light them, and they kind of burn like incense (no flame). They totally keep the mosquitoes away. Usually, if I have some bugs in my tent when I'm ready to crash, I'll put the coil in there & shut the tent for about 10 minutes. Those bugs are GONE (dead), I tell ya.

Bring Lots of Bug Spray and apply Everyday!!!
I've got some huge bites on me already from working out there. And if you go in the woods, check for ticks when you come out! Especially all you naked people
!

I have Skin so Soft bug spray with sun screen in it, and Sun Screen with bug spray in it. That along with my Cutter whipes I might be ok.
Good idea on the bug coil things, but where do I buy them? Going to stop at a super walmart, do you think they have them?
I would hate to get eaten up while I sleep one off.

Yes, they have the bug coils at WalMart...back in the camping gear section near the bug sprays. They also have some burner things in the regular grocery part...near the bug killers.
