Bob-I like the Avon Skin So Soft Sunscreen/Bug Repellent as well. I will have it with us too. Good product plus Avon is against animal testing. But stay away from that evil empire WalMart!!!!!!!!!! Support your local independant sporting good store-buy your coils from them!!!

    Thanx Lolly, I'll find them.

SaraJuana, my mother gave me the Avon stuff a couple years ago and its the best I have ever used. I ask her to order more when I run low. Thats what moms are for. It does have DEET in it, but hell, if DEET keeps the bugs off this weekend, I'll live.

I won't have time to hunt down local stuff. I fly in Thursday at 11:30 to KC, and have to pick up my gear at UPS. The next stop is Super WalMart and then a liquor store. After all that I leave for Waka and still hope to get there by 4pm. Working for a family owned print shop here in town, I know what buy local is about, but somethimes the dark side wins. Wally has it all.

Hey, we have some of the Skin so Soft also, does it work on all bugs including chiggers, or just the mosquitos?

Yes kenny...if it has Deet in it, it will work. I also read that sulpher powder works the best for chiggers and can be purchased at a pharmacy and if you combine it with talc powder and use it that way, it is the best prevention against chiggers. They also say to make sure you use it on your shoes and clothing.

also, remember to bring stuff for poison ivy as well if you're going to be in the woods.
