Question Question to Previous VIP Members

Hello, this will be my 3rd year at Waka and first time I'm heavily considering VIP. I have a few questions for those who have been VIP before or know the answer. I really appreciate anyone who can help.

    1. What type of room/space do you have between other campers. Are we packed in as tight as the main campers or do we have some breathing room?

    2. When they refer to beverages are they only talking alcohol or is there cold water, soda, etc available? Is there only certain times beverages are available?

    3. Are the meals they serve good quality. What type of meals have been served in the past?

    4. Are the showers private to VIP or are they the ones that others can pay to use?

    5. Any chance they have provided river transportation in the past? (not canoeing, just to go hang out and swim for a couple hours)

    6. What's the VIP Lounge?

    7. Is there space in the front row viewing at the bigger named shows or is it pretty packed?

    8. Approx how many VIP tickets are sold? Approx how many people were VIP last year?

    9. I'm pretty sure answer is no but is there electricity and/or running water like reserved camping?

    10. Thank You to any and everyone who takes time to answer these

First off I am no expert. My hubby & I have been for the last 2 years VIP both times, & thought it was money well spent & had the time of our lives! This year we went reserved though, just for a change in pass. Ok here my answers to your list.......

    1. Depending on when you get there you should be able to get some space. The later you get there the less there will be to pick from of course. But we have always had the coolest neighbors!

    2. They are talking beer(tap Boulevard wheat was yummy), (sodas first year, not the second). Always water, beer not sure when it started & stopped, but it was always there when I was.

    3. The food was good variety of things BBQ, sandwiches, etc. To tell you the truth I don't remember what all there was offered.

4.Last year there was a shower trailer in VIP. Timing was the answer there it was open all the time.

    5. Not that I know of, someone else might.

    6. Cool tent to hang in w/couches a bar & great company.

    7. 2009 was great, last year was a little to crowded for me.

    8. Do not know exact number, a lot, but a very small fraction compared to the masses in main venue.

    9. No, your right.

    10. Your Welcome, hope that this helps. Anyway you go, your going to have a blast, no worries.

Thanks for your assistance, Gilmo! VIP is one of the few parts of the festival where I'm not as up-to-speed as I should be.
