    Default Disc Golf

Haven't seen too much on the subject of the disc golf course. Is it worth bringing the discs for?

You probably won't be able to play the whole course as there tend to be some tents and an RV in your way at certain points, but yes, I think it's worth it still. It's a nice course and discs take up very little room.

I I were you I would just save that energy for dancin' and go disc golfing another day. Or OTOH you could arrive a couple days early and enjoy activities like that.

If you see one band this year it should be Wookifoot. They will make your head explode!

Very short 9 hole course-most the holes (including the 5 that will be playable) are right around a nasty pond with harsh vegetation on its banks (thorns thorns thorns) and lots of snakes. 2 years ago the entire course was playable, with just a few passed out wooks around hole 9's basket. Last year 4 of the holes were completely unplayable due to RV's/tents/people. 2 of the 5 holes we DID throw were questionable, and I almost hit a few people pretty hard even being careful. With the festival only getting bigger, and the few playable holes being SUPER crowded with other large groups of golfers, I am electing to leave the discs at home this year. And this from a guy who eats sleeps and breathes disc golf. But if you DO take your discs and elect to throw-you will have fun! Just be forwarned you will need to throw with a lot of caution due to sleeping/sunbathing peeps and it will not be anything like a typical round at your local course!

It's getting' kinda long, I coulda said it wasn't in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly..."

Man, some seriously good advice right there. I suppose a chance exists that Waka Corporate might tighten up the course this year, perhaps bring in some Wook removal teams, but I'm not thinkin that's a priority.

Perhaps they could invite the wookie researchers to conduct a catch-and-release study? Maybe attach some ear tags to assist with identification and tracking? They'd look nice with all the ratty festival wristbands...
