Eat, drink, and be merry..For tomorrow we die
Correction...no Big G set, instead they have "Gigantic Undergroud Conspiracy" with both members of Gigantic, members of Bisco, and Conspirator..which sounds freakin sweet!

Maybe summer camp and waka are secretly working together, and we(waka) are the second identical(kinda) weekend like coachella lol.
Stand outs in the Summer Camp not at Waka are MOE, Gov. Mule and Tedeshi Trucks Band.

Summercamp is only about an hour away from me. This lineup has me tempted to check it out, but I'm a little hesitant after the mud-pit situations of years past. Last year, cars had to be towed out one-by-one all day on Monday. Stellar lineup though. Almost worth it to see Shpongle. There are still 30+ spots to be filled on the Waka lineup, if they get anywhere close to the number of bands they had last year, so let's keep our fingers crossed.
I believe those 30+ spots are for the waka winter classic and dj winners....right?
I think a large portion of those spots will be dj and winter classic winners, but to me it makes sense that they would pepper in a few bigger, recognizable bands as June approaches...just to keep the buzz going. The contest winners will be locals from their respective areas, and I have a hard time believing that Waka will fill the remaining 25% of the lineup with them. We shall see.
I live in Northern Illinois as well and have never made the trip to Summer Camp. Have had many friends attend and my oldest daughter has gone the last few years. Last year she came home a day early from Summer Camp as she just couldnt handle the thunderstorms. She also attended Wakarusa with me in 2010 and I think she would agree the Waka experience was superior. Last year she came home a day early from Summer Camp as she just couldnt handle the thunderstorms. Could be because we went VIP.
