Wow summer camp added common, not his biggest fan, but summer camp sure has a nice diverse lineup this year.

Hard to compare the vibe changing a lot... seems like since I went the overall vibe is amazing, the main variance that changes how you feel about the vibe are the people immediately around you. Depends on your group and your neighbors. I admit last year I felt the dub step kid vibe way more than the year before, but I think that was because they were friends with some of the people in my group. With a line-up as diverse as Waka's, you're bound to be influenced by all kinds of vibes! Chance, line-up, and tenacity toward a certain kind of people are all contributing factors for vibage. With that being said, I havent been to any other camping music festivals. Gonna have a bit of tenacity this year for sure tho.. I'm gonna be searchin for my forum folks cause that vibe is just awe-riggght! gotta meet more of the folks that look forward to this as much as I do

Summercamp actually surprised me with the recent additions. Michael Franti and Spearhead, Galactic, Break Science, the Ragbirds, Old Shoe, Wick-it, LP, plus many more. They always have a hip-hop artist, Common was a good pickup and shows some love to the predominate Chicagoland crowd. I normally skip that set anyway so whoever the hip hop artist is doesn't make a bit of diff to me. This lineup is one of the better lineups IMO, considering the absence of Panic, Tribe and Nectar. They filled the voids well. I'm stoked to kick off my festival season at Summercamp and will have a really good idea what to expect music wise from a lot of the Waka lineup. Makes schedule conflicts at Waka almost a moot point for me, and that's always a bonus.
As for the crowd, I don't get too caught up in the vibe situation of other people. I do my own thing in my own world with my friends, all the other stuff going on around me is just eye candy at best. It would take a real big douchebag to somehow wipe the smile off my face.
I don't suffer from insanity. In fact, I rather enjoy it.

Totally agree. All is well until someone takes the red and the blue pill at the same time. That ****e definitely affects you when you crawl out of your tent in the morning to find a dinasour eating a unicorn attached to a set of titties hunched over your booze filled-ice chest with white foam coming out of the canvas' nose. And the person that brought the T-Rex is long gone after a conversation about omnipotent mind manifestations and squirrel fuzz. Guess that sort of thing happens, but preferably not at my camp. I'm too chill for that nonsense, and that's why the smile never left my face until Monday when reality came back and he was nowhere to be found. Didn't junk my funk one bit until my good friend got upset. Pretty much an uncontrollable situation, but that's not the sort of people I jive with. Just sayin I could've done without, and I intend to this year.

AHAH! That girls breasts were lopsided at best. Never really stuck around to listen to her nonsense. I was too busy wondering all around lol But yeah this time I am coming solo and not bringing a douchebag "friend" along to yell for being an inconsiderate sh!t! I'm gonna be all smiles this year, and I can't wait!

Yeah oh well sorry I let that negativity high jack this thread. There's no doubt Summercamp's line-up this year is sick as hell!
