I wish. It's going to be hard enough getting off work for one festival, and I still have to pay bills when I get back. It's gotta be one or the other, so I'm going with Waka. I've been to the farm. I'm ready to see what the mountain has in store for me. Plus, we have a big group going to Waka this year. At least 13 people have tickets already. It's going to be pretty epic.

Roo in my opinion is LAME! Been twice, great music but it is just too big. Hard to catch all the shows you wanna. It's possible that your campsite will be 45-60 minutes away from centeroo. Last year instead of the normal festi wristbands they did these stupid plastic ones with computer chips in em, and you have to scan them to get in the festi grounds. They end up breaking very easy and you have to wait in some big long line to replace your lame wristband with a new one. The lines to get into centeroo are ridiculous. It's like they are herdin' cattle. Compared to Waka, the vibe is non existent. Just my two cents.

Maynard James Keenan: I think Puscifer was offered a slot, but we really didn’t have any interest in playing in the same tent with Danzig and Alice Cooper. SORRY.

    NC: [Laughs] Why not?

MJK: Uh, it didn’t quite fit.

NC: Do you think that’s the result of people just assuming that, because of your association with Tool, it WOULD fit?

    MJK: Yup. Absolutely.

NC: Is that a perception that you often have to contend with in Puscifer?

    MJK: Every. ****ing. Day.
puscifer was just added to the roo lineup, making this interview seem very odd...
Having a wonderful time, wish I were here.

Well it took a while for me to decide, considering all of the mixed opinions/reviews, but I broke down and bought a pass to Bonnaroo. Going to be intense hitting up Waka then Roo. Pretty stoked!!!

Amber, I'm doing both this year, too! This is my first back-to-back and first Waka but my 4th Roo trip.
I guess I don't really compare festivals; they're each pretty diverse in terms of music or location or vibe. I love the big, freaky crowds at Roo and the feeling that my only problem in the world is which amazing band to see. I'm so looking forward to Waka for the beautiful grounds and all the jam and electronic I can fit in one weekend and survive

Dear Bonnaroo, no. I don't care how many Radiohead's or Puscifer's you get.

I've never had any interest in going to Bonnaroo until today when my buddy called me up and asked if I wanted his extra ticket free of charge. So It'll be an intense two weeks of music for me!

Free Bonnaroo might be worth it, have fun and drink lots of water.

Hydration is key! I learned that during two Iraq tours.
